The contact owns a 2016 Tesla Model X. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the contact heard an impact on the roof of the vehicle. The contact pulled over to inspect the roof and became aware that the glass panel for the sunroof had detached from the sun roof assembly. The vehicle was taken to Tesla (1901 del monte blvd, seaside, CA 93955, 831-264-6896) to be inspected. The contact was informed that the vehicle was no longer under warranty and had to be repaired out of pocket. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, declined to provide additional assistance. The failure mileage was 65,000.
