Tl the contact owned a 2010 Toyota Avalon. While driving 75 mph, a deer collided head on into the front end of the vehicle. The driver's air bag and front passenger air bag failed to deploy. The contact stated that the impact knocked the engine out of place and pushed it backwards into the windshield area. The contact suffered injuries to the back, right knee, shoulders, and left arm. The contact also sustained a concussion. The passenger also experienced injuries to the back, knee, arms, and shoulder. Both occupants received medical attention. The vehicle was towed and deemed destroyed. Louisburge sherriff's department was present, but a police report was not filed. The manufacturer was contacted. The dealer was not contacted. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
