Driver seat rear driver side leg failed and cracked making seat separate from the rail and chair. Drivers seats rocks loosely. Other 3 legs functions properly but if you are rear ended then the seat would lunge forward towards steering wheel. No insurance review brought it to a welding shop to spot weld and rebrace the leg.

I was using the lever to push the seat away from the steering wheel when one side stopped moving, causing the other side to derail. I took the car to jim hudson Toyota immediately, and the technician was able to get seat back on track. However, he wasn't able to get the side moving, and stated the entire seat rail would have to be replaced. Furthermore, I was told I have a leak in the rod and pinion system because the inner seal needs to be replaced. Although, I service my vehicle regularly with fred anderson Toyota, and nothing has ever been said about this.

Please check for all the recalls on my car.
My airbag light is on for no reason whatsoever. It was supposed to be taken care of in a previous recall I believe but with this update on other vehicles effected I 100 percent sure my 06 Avalon xls and maybe others are having airbag issues. The seats (leather) have been effected by the seat warmers over heating.

All leather areas are sticky and difficult to use in the cabin. The dash, all covers, shift nob, center console, and steering wheel. This makes it very difficult to operate the vehicle where everywhere you touch is sticky. It also has an odor and mold/mildew smell. Toyota refuses to repair.

The vehicle speeds up when it want to on it own. The steering column falls all the time. The passaenger seat wont recline at all but will lean back.
Under normal driving conditions, this one owner cars driver's seat is falling apart. It broke where the controls are, and the leather finish of the seat coverings [back and bottom] prematurely wore off. While under warranty, the mfg replaced the leather seat portions twice, both times with new leather whose finish also wore off. Out of warranty its just "too bad for the owner. " this has been going on since the car was bought new.
Car was in park with engine running and airbags in driver's seat and roof deployed when driver's door was shut. Made numerous attempts with Toyota to reapir and have had no success in getting this done. Vehicle was taken to a Toyota dealership on 11/13/14 to have diagnostic readings and was told we would be notified within 30 days by legal department. I have made numerous attempts at getting answers but have not had any success.
I have a new 2014 Avalon with heated leather seats. I demand that a recall be issued by the Toyota company. I have less than 700 miles on my car, and Toyota doesn't want this to be a mandatory recall?.

Driver's side seat has excessive wear showing discoloration and ridge / lump on left side of seat. Seats are heated / air conditioned and are ivory colored however the wear and lump in seat are showing a darker color almost dark gray. Don't know if the lump / ridge in seat is part of the heating element or just irregular wear.
Very upset Toyota customer, purchased showroom 2013 Toyota Avalon with headliner in the rear drooped down. This is brand new. . . I was told that probably some kids have pulled the headliner down while in showroom. Waiting for resolution I decided to read on common problems and lone behold! Toyota, you had better get this fixed immediately before there is an accident due to headliner obstructing the drivers view. How fast this is resolved is going to determine how I speak about Toyota and future purchases! get after it! next up, seat back covers also was blammed on kids in showroom pulling them down. I looked at the design and see how sorry the engineering is. Toyota, need fix as soon as possible. . A good one! I will report this to the news if not rectified.
One week (7/11/13) after purchasing a brand new Avalon, noticed a sag in the headliner towards the rear windshield. After looking closer, the headliner is drooping towards the rear windshield as well as a noticeable gap near the moon roof. Took back to dealer and they ordered a new part. About 8/27/13, took back to dealer because the seat panel on the driver side seat was falling off. 9/13/13, dealer installed a new headliner. Picking up on 9/18/13 after a new headliner was installed, the gap remains at the moon roof area and one of the back panels was not in place. The dealer was still waiting for seat back panel part and was not able to replace the seat back panel. 9/18/13 - left it at the dealer since headliner issue is still not resolved and the seat back panel is still not fixed. I'm afraid the car will never be like new and I'm afraid even another new headliner will still have issues. I believe it's a serious design flaw. After purchasing it new on 7/3/13, drooping headliner and seat back panel falling off, is not presentable and appropriate to drive since I use my car for business. I haven't been able to enjoy my new car and now I'm driving a corolla as my loaner car.
The headliner is falling in my car. I have waited a month to get the problem fixed yet it has not been fixed. The back of my chair is also falling.
Takata recall I took my car to the dealership and made a complaint about the drivers seat shifting when I'm driving and mash on the brakes. I thought the seat needed tightening the Toyota dealer checked the seat and informed me that the frame was deteriorating.
Head rest does not allow driver to sit up straight. Neck is bent forward causing discomfort.
Front drivers seat frame weld breaks causing seat to become loose and go down into frame.
The contact owns a 2003 Toyota Avalon. Upon starting the vehicle the air bag light illuminated on the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on numerous occasions where it was repaired. The failure continued to recur so the vehicle was taken back to an authorized dealer where he was informed the front drivers side seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 58,000.
Front seat power motor/switch failure - went to adjust seat and it went forward and would not stop and I had an extremely difficult time exiting vehicle. I am a woman and was stranded and had to have someone smaller than me drive my vehicle. Also unable to go to work. Seat motor should not fail - this is a life and death safety hazard. Have to take to torrance Toyota where purchased vehicle for repair. Lost day's work at the court of appeal on spring street in los angeles.

I purchased a certified used car from ira Toyota and since I've owned it
4 things have never worked:
1. The seat belts always stick and have been replaced and still do not work. 2. The driver's seat does not move forward and back. The dealer looked at it
more than twice and still will not fix it. 3. The steering wheel does not turn smoothly and the dealer does not
know why. 4. The vehicle continuously turns to the left, even after all new,
superior wheels and tires, new struts and two front end alignments. The dealer: ira Toyota could find nothing wrong.

Consumer placed hands between the driver's side and passenger's side seats to retrieve a pair of keys. While pulling up the keys from the side of the seat was a metal part sticking out from the side. This caused the driver's right hand fingers were cut and bleeding. Dealer was aware of the problem.
The front drivers seat rocks forward with at lease 1 inch of play. We took the car back to the dealer and they originally advised us it was a normal condition. After several calls, and complaints to Toyota, they "found" a bulletin that said the seat mount "could become" worn prematurely. We see this as a safety issue that should be recalled on all Avalons. Afterall, what would happen if the mount went bad and the seat became detached from the car while someone was driving?.
