Steering Wheel Problems of Toyota Avalon

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Avalon. The steering wheel telescopic release lever lock had a loose bolt causing the steering wheel to drop in his lap while driving. The lever lock was not secure enough to hold the steering wheel in place. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer nor was the manufacturer called. The failure mileage was 68,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Avalon which was purchased brand new in July 2005. She stated that the steering wheel on the vehicle was very loose. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they verified the failure as telescopic steering. The contact was not aware as to what repairs would need to be performed on the vehicle. The vehicle was still in possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was approximately 67,000. The VIN was not accepted.

Steering wheel installed 30-45 degrees off center. After correcting/alignment car exhibited extreme pull to left. 3 plus further attempts do not cure pull to left. Pulling contributed to accident 5/13/2000. Requested arbitration, unsatisfied. Currently suing under federal magnuson-moss warranty act and ohio lemon law. Dash lights also annoyingly reflect in windshield in direct line of sight.
