1 Transmission Gear Slipping problem of the 2007 Toyota Avalon

Failure Date: 07/11/2016

I have experienced on several occasions the transmission slipping so that when I accelerate the car does not move, then suddenly jerks real hard. This has left me in the middle of the street and almost caused several accidents. It has become progressively7 worse. Now it is becoming a safety problem in that the car could suddenly fail to move once you get in the middle of a cross road then suddenly drive off.

2 Transmission Gear Slipping problem of the 2006 Toyota Avalon

Failure Date: 02/02/2007

I have a 2006 Toyota Avalon. There is a serious problem with the transmission. At slow speeds the transmission seems to slip. If I am slowing almost to a stop and then starting up again the transmission does not engage, the engine revs up, and then the car lurches forward as the transmission finally engages. We have almost been rear ended when another car is following close and thinks that I am going to move forward but can't because the transmission does not engage. I have almost had an accident because the car lurches forward after the trans slips. We have had this lurching and slipping incident several times.

3 Transmission Gear Slipping problem of the 2005 Toyota Avalon

Failure Date: 03/28/2005

Transmission lags then jumps forward, transmission slips at low speeds never seems to find a gear. Steering at speeds below 40 will jerk left or right depending on the road. (scares you to death) brakes have grabbed and jerked the car from day one the dealership ground the rotors to fix this but it has not resolved the problem. The car has had the power steering hose replaced because it leaked and it still does. The cd player skip while your parked, the steering wheel needed to be replaced. We have had this car in to the dealer 5 times with none of the problems to the brakes, transmission, or steering resolved.
