One problem related to spare tire has been reported for the 1998 Toyota Camry. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Full size spare tire was overinflated to about 50 psi. This general hp 400 tire maximum pressure rating printed on tire wall is 44 psi. The owner's manual indicated tire should be inflated to 32 psi. It is a safety issue if tire explodes in trunk or fails on the road.
