1 Automatic Transmission Floor Shift problem

The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the vehicle would not shift into gears on an intermittent basis. The contact would depress the brake pedal several times until the vehicle would shift. The dealer advised that the gear shifter was defective. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility where she was advised that the failure was caused by the brake light switch. The vehicle was repaired at the repair facility. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000 and the current mileage was approximately 60,000.

2 Automatic Transmission Floor Shift problem

Failure Date: 01/01/1901

2005 Toyota Camry missing two bolts. Consumer states that the shifter cable bracket bolts are missing. He also states that the transmission was affected by this problem. When put into gear the gear did not engage. When the gear was shifted into neutral the vehicle would back up, when it was shifted into to drive there was no movement, but when it was shifted into 3rd gear, the vehicle went forward.
