Driver side visor has failed. It has fallen completely down and will not stay in the upright position. I rarely use the visor. After some searching, I have found this is a huge problem. My visor blocks my view of the front road and also part of my rear view mirror. I contacted Toyota headquarters in California and was given a case number. The rep stated that Toyota is aware of the sun visor defect complaints and are "calmly" deciding if and how the complaints will be addressed. They stated that there will absolutely not be any repair assistance unless they decide to issue a recall. Bascially saying this is my problem and that I have to deal with it no matter how costly. The dealer quoted $134 parts not including labor. I am not able to afford this expense at the moment and have removed the visor out of safety concerns for myself and family. From all of the complaints I have found, and by Toyota's own admission regarding awareness of the defect, it should be recalled for being a safety hazard and malfunction of equipment.

Normal wear might have been considered except my car is only 4 yrs old and I rarely use the visor. After some searching I have found this is a huge problem. The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry. While driving and looking into the rear view mirror, the contact noticed that the rear view mirror and/or the rear glass causes distortions. The mirror and/or glass causes the objects in view to appear to move up and down, backwards and forwards. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The speed was unknown.
