1 Owners/service Manual problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2016

In the front panel area, where the gear shifter is, there's a small compartment housing a switch with which I can manually press to put the car in reverse when the car won't do this by positioning the gear shifter into the reverse position by pulling it down. . My problem is, when I take it to be checked. . There's nothing they can do if it's not happening at the time I bring it in, which is always the case as it happens intermittently, but never does it when I take it to the repair shop! this is frustrating and has caused problems in different ways. I hope someone takes notice of my problem while my extended warranty is still in effect so that I can get this fixed. Thanks for your attention and the opportunity to express it. I never knew who to send a 'complaint' to. Thanks again!.

2 Owners/service Manual problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2015

My problem is that I cannot back-up using the gear shifter as it's supposed to be used. The mechanic removed the little panel in the front of the gear handle, allowing me to press it manually. I was told it could not be fixed (by him) unless it was happening then. Which it was not doing at the time I took it to him. You see, it happens intermittently. Sometimes the gear shifter will kick in after I press the brake, and sometimes it will not kick in and that's when I have to push the switch mannually. I am concerned that it will never be able to be fixed because it is an intermittent occurrence.

3 Owners/service Manual problem

Failure Date: 09/09/2015

2007 Toyota Camry oil consumption recall was never fixed properly tried to take it to dealership sever times but was told that my car showed as not having that issue power windows recall button gets stuck. Oil is constantly running low or empty and sensor is not coming on as well as no oil leaking out of vehicle even after oil change has taken place. Have to manually check and add oil to vehicle which is dangerous.

4 Owners/service Manual problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2007

Over the past several years, I have noticed my dashboard is overly hot in high temps. (I live in sw florida). Today, the dashboard is sticky, very hot, shiny in spots, and now filled with small chunks from y fingernail hitting it. I can't clean it as the rag will stick. This is obviously a material defect that the maker used. No where in my owners manual or contract did it state that the dashboard will become much after 6 years, and the car should only be used in the colder states. I use four layers of house insulation and a sun visor. Nothing helps, as this problem is aggravated by high temperatures. I am told this is a $1,000 dashboard and I will have to pay for labor to get it replaced. Really/ how unacceptable. Again, no where in my contract did it state that just over warranty expiration, the dash would melt. And how does this affect the passengers airbag? and the glare from the sun on the dash? how can this be safe. How many complaints need to happen before someone interjects? please recall this item and make our vehicles safe. A very unsatisfied customer. (1 of many!).

5 Owners/service Manual problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2006

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota solara. According to the contact, the owner's manual states that there is a seat belt warning chime for the seat belts. He stated that his vehicle does not have that feature. He took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that his vehicle does not have that safety feature. However, the manufacturer verified his VIN and confirmed that the vehicle does have that feature. He contacted the dealer again and they repeated their previous statement. The technician at the dealer performed a diagnostic test that indicated the feature was not on the vehicle as it should have been. The contact feels that this is major safety hazard. The current mileage is 2,500 and the failure mileage was unknown.
