5 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2015

Started car and the brake and abs lights stayed on and did not go off. Then while driving to my daughters school, and the shop I was going to take the car to, my engine light came on. I picked up my daughter then went to the shop and had vehicle checked. There were had 5 codes that come up. Then went out with the mechanic to see if the speedometer was working as he asked if I noticed if it was or was not working. We took car for a quick drive to see how car was driving. The first thing I noticed was that the speedometer was not moving from zero. The lights all stayed on and the brakes were working. The rpm gauge was still going up and down. I did not have the money to do any fixing as of yet so I decided to bring the car home and park it until I can get it fixed as my mechanic said it was not safe to drive. After this I did some research on line and have found that this is a common problem on the 2007 Toyota Camry and that the hybrid model has a recall for this problem, but as of yet they have not recalled the 4 cyl or the 6 cyl which is not right as the codes are the same and the issues are the same. The right thing to do would be to recall all 2007 models before this issue causes a fatal car accident.

Abs and brake light came on while driving also my speedometer needle does not move, and rpm gauge starts fluctuating. This occurs intermittently. I took it to the Toyota dealer they told me I have to replace the brake actuator assembly (skid control ecu) a total cost of $3,453 to fix. :( my car has only 67,750 miles. I do know the 2007 Camry hybrid is having the same problem and those are being recalled.

7 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 12/27/2013

Driving on highway, heat gauge spiked suddenly. While trying to bring the vehicle to stop and pull to the shoulder , engine is lost. I had the vehicle towed to a Toyota dealer and was told that engine was lost due to water pump failure. They estimated $ 6,000 cost for a replacement engine. Six months and less tan 5,000 miles before the incident, Toyota dealer offered $11,000 for the vehicle during the oil change service. Vehicle was always serviced at the Toyota dealer. Six months before the incident, I was told by the dealer that (when dealer offered $11,000), there might be a slight water leak, but, it is a known issue, and therefore, keep watching the coolant level. I kept watching the coolant level as they told me. Coolant level was normal before I started to drive right before the incident and within 50 miles of driving engine was lost. It was within an hour of checking the coolant level.
