The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that all four struts leaked and had to be replaced at 35,000 miles. On 10/21/11 an independent mechanic informed me that all 4 struts were leaking and told me to take it to the dealer for inspection. On 10/29/11 the dealer inspected it and stated that there was "residue" which is normal and no repair was needed at this time. The dealer did not state that it was not covered under warranty only that it was normal to have some leakage. The independent mechanic stated that it is not normal to be leaking and it should not be leaking at 36,000 miles. Several times the independent mechanic stated that the struts were leaking. The last time on 9/27/13 he said the leakage was past the perch. So I took it to the Toyota dealer again on September 27, 2013. They admitted that the struts are now leaking. However both the dealer and Toyota customer service stated the repair is not covered under our extended warrrantly package. If they had started leaking during the normal warranty period of 3 years/36,000 miles, it would have been covered. Again, in 2011, they never stated it was not covered under warranty, just that it was normal to have "residue". I will probably have the struts replaced at the dealer in case there is some future resolution/reimbursement offered on this issue. I don't want to keep driving the car with leaking struts. The funny thing is they offer a lifetime warranty on strut replacement after the first replacement. Hmmm, do they build them to fail???.

Toyota Camry 2007 - persistent vibration steering at highway speed - not being resolved by a series of attempts such as balancing, tire replacement, alignment, brake component replacement. The steering vibration was part of a Toyota service bulletin but despite the specific instruction on how to fix the problem, the vibration was never eliminated. Lately, vehicle also showing vibration when braking - also at highway speeds. Brake repaired at dealer without results. Toyota dealer has provided no further resolution option. February 5, 2010 leaky struts on Toyota Camry I have purchased my 2007 Toyota Camry from dch Toyota dealership in simi valley. I have been informed by 2 certified mechanics outside of the dealership that my struts were leaking. They found the problem when they did an oil change, brakes and tire replacements. I took the car to dch Toyota for an inspection when the car had only 30,000 miles on it, they said that it was normal seepage and they did not make a note in the computer that they had inspected it. The car was still under warranty at that time I took the car to them again yesterday when the car had 60,441 miles on it. The dealership's mechanic indicated that the struts were leaking excessively and that could cause the tires to wear out much more quickly. By the way, I have replaced all 4 tires and the rear brakes during the 3 years that I've had the car. I'm certain that it's highly unusual for the struts to leak at such low mileage. The two certified mechanics outside of dealership have had the same opinion. I have print outs of numerous complaints about the same issue from other Camry owners who have reported their problems on various websites on the internet. Dch Toyota has told me that I would have to pay $2,300. 00 to get the struts replaced additionally, all 4 rims on my car have rusted completely all around the rims. They have asked me to take the car into the dealership on February 19th for them to have it inspected by their district manager. After the inspection, they will let me know if they will replace the rims under manufacturer warranty or not. I need your help with this matter because I believe that leaky struts is a defect has not gotten attention from Toyota manufacturers even though there have been a lot of complaints. The problem will cause my tires and brakes to wear out much much more quickly.

2007 Toyota Camry struts leaking. Consumer states when the vehicle was having brakes and tires replaced the mechanic noticed the leak and said it was normal. When the vehicle went back to mechanic the struts were leaking excessively and could cause the tires to wear out quickly.
I have a 2007 Toyota Camry and I feel a vibration between 40 and 42 mph, particularly during highway driving. I have the tires rotated and checked on a regular basis and the road conditions are smooth and dry.
Vehicle has 29000 miles. All tires are worn out and had to be replaced per Toyota dealer inspection. Bought 4 tires at bridgestone (original tire manufacturer). Bridgestone said all 4 struts are leaking and might have contributed to the premature tire worn out. Toyota's response warranty is 3 yrs or 36000 miles which ever comes first, and vehicle turned 3 yrs in July 09. Therefore it is not under warranty. It is quite a coincidence that all struts started leaking right after vehicle turned 3 yrs and therefore not under warrant any more even though vehicle still has 6000 miles to reach 36000 miles.
I bought a 2007 Toyota Camry brand new and had it 2 days when needing to take it back to the dealership for a front end problem. The subframe bolts were loose and needed to be tightened and aligned. I have worn out 3 sets of tires in 2 years. The car only has 50k miles on it. All different brands of tires used and the first 2 wore out at 18,000 miles but the last wore out at around 5,000. It has been on an alignment rack 3 times and each time needing small adjustments. The car also has a binding noise upon turning the wheel to the left. Called dealerships and they will do nothing or even confirm that there is a problem with car. I am disguised. I have spent over $1000. 00 on a car that is still new. Help with all the money Toyota is making they should be held accountable and have a recall on the issues and reimburse owners. I do not expect to put hundreds of dollars out on a new vehicle.
Struts are leaking at 34,000 miles on 2007 Camry. I was told by dealer that there is bulletin on leaking strut. But Toyota will replace it only if it is leaking heavily. They do not replace under warranty if it ldo not leaks heavily. This is safety issue. (1) Toyota new about strut issues but never notified owner. (2) Toyota is unwilling to replace even leaky ones (3) they do not pay for alignment after strut replacement. Which they should.

The dealer stated that the struts are leaking and since there is no recall he will be responsible for the repairs. The contact stated that the manufacturer should be responsible for the repairs since this is a safety issue. The failure mileage was 42,000.
Vibration throughout speed range, very noticeable at highway speeds. Three sets of tires, two sets of wheels, multiple attempts to balance wheels.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota solara. While driving at any speed, the vehicle would pull to the right. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle several times, but the failure continued. The current mileage was 2,848 and failure mileage was 254. Updated 5/6/08 updated 05/06/08.

The vehicle began to shake excessively. The struts on the vehicle were also defective. Toyota front suspension problems starting with 2007 Camry this needs to be investigated Toyota seems to want to ignore this problem.
One car accident. Front end shimmy led to an uncontrollable spin in right lane of highway (62-63 mph in a 65 zone, road dry, no sand, ice, water, oil), spun into left guardrail, bounced off and hit right side guardrail head on 45-60 mph. Front/knee airbags did not deploy, seatbelt caught too late, leading to driver (only person in car) hitting head on steering wheel and knee on center console. Injuries include concussion, whiplash, right knee/hip pain/damage, headaches, backaches, dizziness, neck/back soreness, forgetfulness following accident (random short term memory loss). Car totaled (front end destroyed, other damage), problem reported to Toyota. Toyota rep appeared to be trying to blame driver on airbag/seatbelt failures but is sending investigator to check auto. Insurance company has inspected vehicle. Driver not ticketed by police (deemed not at fault for accident).
Suspension and steering. I have noticed when I am driving on the freeway at a speed of about 60+mph, that any dips or bumps causes my cars to sway side to side, and the steering wheel jerks in a different direction. I took my car to the dealership on 11/11/06 and they could not duplicate the problem. I know why, because they did not do a true test drive. My car was checked in with 3544 miles and when I left the dealership something told me to check my mileage and it showed 3548 and at that time I was 1/2 a mile from the dealership. So, I know they did not take my car on the highway, so I will be taking my car back.
Since new the alignment is off on car. Steering wheel and wheels are not in "sync". When turning left it seems to flex the body of car. Two separate dealers attempted to correct with poor results. Car now has 400 miles and same problem.
Vehicle floats at highway speeds as if the wind was pushing the car side to side.
I purchased my Toyota Camry le in June 2007, since that time I have had several front end alignments on my vehicle by different businesses. After the alignments, the car still pulls to either side and doesn't ride straight. The Toyota dealership claims there is nothing they can do and the car alignment is fine. I have talked with other Toyota Camry owners that have the same issue with their Camry's also.
2007 Toyota Camry. Consumer states problem with vehicle struts the consumer stated the check engine light illuminated and there was a slight leak coming the struts. The consumer was told the leaking was normal, but, they would monitor it every 5,000 miles. The consumer was unable to get back to the dealer within the 5,000 miles and by the time he did return, the struts were leaking past the lower spring seat. The quality of the ride; especially when going over bumps had worsened. All four struts were leaking and had to be replaced.
