Taken vehicle for routine maintenance at filling station. Mechanic noticed all four brake rotors were cracked. Owner informed not to drive until repaired, but owner drove vehicle. Mechanic finally contacted owner to bring vehicle in for brake rotor repairs. Ts.

2 Air Brake Disc Rotor problem of the 2001 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 10/21/2001

Brake failure: at 14,000 miles the rear brakes wore down to the rotors causing the rotors to fail. At 19,000 miles the front brakes failed putting gouges into the rotors.

3 Air Brake Disc Rotor problem of the 1997 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 08/29/1997

Quite noisy, making rumbling noises and grabbing, when braked with any sort of force, due to poor material in both ft disc brake pads which had been flaking the brakes required that the ft pads be replaced, in addition, ft rotors replaced since the loose material had apparently been cutting into the surface of the rotors.
