Driver seat belts releases on its own especiall while driving. I stop and push metal clasp back into position, sometimes with force to make sure it is engaged. Sometimes it stays in place, sometimes not. I also check to make sure nothing is in the way of metal clasp before pushing it into the slot. I never know when it will pop back again undtil the light on the dashboard starts to flash. This has been going on for about 2 months.

I hydroplaned on the interstate going 60 and hit a guardrail twice. The airbags never went off, the seat belt retracted back into place after taking it off. It should have been floppy if it was effective.

Our vehicle was struck from the drivers side - rear at an estimated 60mph speed difference. (it is thought we were slowed to approx 25mph, other car was probably 80mph or more). This happened on i95 in lumberton nc. The other vehicle was in left lane, we were in right lane. The other vehicle swerved into our lane hitting us "quartering" from left rear. Force was hard enough to deform right side of car which came in contact with nothing. As the driver, I struck the interior with enough force to cause a "severe" concussion. No side curtains deployed, and I do not believe the seat belts tensioned to restrain me in the seat. My left shoulder, arm, and elbow were also injured in the accident. The front seat passenger suffered injuries to her left arm, and recoiled striking the inside of the right interior. This caused head trauma as well. We don't believe the seat belt tensioned. Passenger in the back seat, right side also suffered injury. Not as severe as front seat occupants. He was throw around in the vehicle, it is unknown if his belts tensioned. All 3 had to be transported by ambulance for injuries suffered. There is a warning displayed in the dash stating, "srs airbag system malfuntion visit your dealer" I believe had seatbelts tensioned, side curtains deployed, my injuries would be much less. This accident occurred 10/11/2020, weather was overcast but dry. Crash force was sufficient to cause body work deformation on right side of vehicle, which came in contact with no objects.
Back middle seat belt is not clicking into lock. I am unable to buckle my sons carseat into the middle seat because the belt will not latch. I had this issue in my previous Camry that ended getting totaled so I never had time to file the complaint. But I have it on video. If my child would of been in the car accident with my in my old car, he would of ended up out the front windshield due to a faulty seat belt. This is now the second Toyota Camry xse that has the same issue. Please address this before a child gets seriously injured.

The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving 20 mph, the front driver's side seat belt unlatched independently. The contact stated that the seat belt warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Toyota south atlanta (6865 jonesboro rd, morrow, GA 30260) where it was diagnosed with the seat belt needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.
The first problem: the car has acceleration delays, it bucks and lags when switching lanes and driving in heavy traffic. The car jerks when accelerating at slow speeds. I almost got into a serious accident due to the acceleration delays when making a left in heavy traffic. The second problem is, I received a vehicle alert message on may 30th at 10:30am regarding the srs airbag system. "a malfunction in the srs airbag system has been detected. Contact your Toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected. " the airbag check light never lighted so I didn't see this message until a month in a half later. Dangerous for my passenger which is usually my oldest son. The car is in the dealership now and they are trying to figure out the airbag issue. I feel unsafe in my car due to acceleration delays. The VIN# is not in the recall list and I do not understand why not. It has the same issues as the other cars being recalled. The third problem: very randomly the seat belt alert alarm will start beeping while I'm driving my smallest son. Both of us have our seat belts and I do not own a big heavy bag. The car wont stop until I pull over, park, turn it off and on. This is not normal but it happens very randomly.
I purchased a Toyota Camry on 2/17/20. Two weeks later the srs airbag malfunction light started to illuminate and the rear seatbelt alarm continously sound off alerting me to fasten seatbelts when no one was sitting back there. I tried taking the vehicle back to the dealer I purchased it from to see what was going on but was told it had to be taken to Toyota. After taking the vehicle to Toyota, I found out the wiring harness had been torn and that it would cost me $4,900. 00 to fix the issue. I was also told if I was ever in an accident, the airbag more than likely wouldn't deploy. Since discovering this issue, I have not been driving the vvehicledue to the safety issue.

The seatbelt doesn't click into place and the sensor doesn't show anyone sitting in the seat which shows the airbag is off. Very unsafe if in an accident.
Rear passenger seatbelt will not latch. Daughter moved to rear dri ver side for crash protection. I inspected the problem on November 30, 2019 and determined that the receiver lock was not catching/holding on to the shoulder strap buckle.
Car was rear ended and I hit my head on dashboard due to the seat belt pretensioner and retractor not engaging. Car was stationary at a red light. Nyc police accident report: mv-2019-100-000731 report 731.
The driver's seat belt gets stuck occasionally, and it does not fully retract.
Wife driving to family reunion, rural road, she passed out, missed turn in road. Car went of road and hit a ditch. Car rolled several times. Wife's neck broken (she lived) admitted to hospital. Remained in hospital for about 3 weeks then physical therapy for months. Never received recall notice. All air bags opened except the drivers side.
This car was involve in an auto accident and it was serve and the frame bent and push in but the seat belt did not lock and no airbag was deployed. Brand new car only 7,000 miles.

The seatbelt occupant sensor goes off when I am in motion and there is no one in my back seat. Sometimes, when I place items like groceries or other personal belongings in my backseat and begin driving it reads as a person and the system begins to warn me that the seat belts are not connected. Other times, there will be an actual person sitting in the backseat without their seatbelt on and the system will not warn me while driving. This is extremely dangerous and annoying. If I'm driving alone and the seat belt warning begins to go off there is no way for me to disable it unless I pull over and buckle in the seat belts. This is a major safety concern because if I am not aware someone has taken off their seatbelt I can not be proactive in preventing their injuries if an accident were to occur.
The seat belt comes unfastened when driving down the street. This happens several times a week. You can pull and pull on the belt and it remains locked, but while traveling on the road, especially if one hits a bump, the belt unlatches and the light comes on and buzzer sounds. Went to junk yard to get a different latch and learned that their neighbor's 2003 Toyota Camry does the same thing. This needs to be investigated and fixed. Found same complaint on several complaint boards.
My seatbelt will not stay in the slot after I buckle it. It clicks, the light goes out and then it starts sliding out, and the light comes on and the beeping starts. I have to hook it in the slot for the passenger seatbelt to get it to stay. This is while I am driving. It won't stay when not driving. I am having to pay $162 to have what should be an unbreakable part replaced and I want to know if this is happening a lot. I own two older cars, a 97 Lincoln and a 90 miata and those seatbelts work fine.
We were struck in the rear by a driver and pushed into another car in front of us. The airbags never deployed during the accident, seatbelts did not constrain us and the driver seats snapped backwards injuring passengers in the front and in the back of the car. Back seat passengers had life-threatening injuries and front passengers had severe injuries.
Started with the passenger front seatbelt. Seatbelt wouldn't lock in to the female part have to keep trying it until it works. Driver seatbelt had the same problem until one day a spring was sticking out of the female part. Seatbelt never would latch again. Passenger seatbelt will latch to this day, however it will break soon and is untrustworthy driver seatbelt will not work at all.
Right rear passenger side seat belt tightened up on a child and would not release. We had to cut the seat belt.
Whenever I have 1 or 2 backseat passengers, the seats that aren't occupied in the back the sensors go off as if someone's in the seat and needs to put on their seatbelt. So I just put the seatbelt connected so it stopped sensoring.
My seatbelt won't click into the buckle and or release on their own has been happening for a couple of months and then have it eventually stopped working completely I cannot buckle my driver seat belt and one of the rear passenger seat belts has started doing the same thing I am about to go to the dealership and have them replaced before I get into an accident I would hate to find out that the seatbelt that does work now stopped working with my child in the car in an accident.
I turned on rear defrost and within few seconds back seat was on fire. Window burnt seat and seat belt also burned hand. It appears to have been a possible electrical cause. I figured a fuse would blow prior to a fire inside car. Had I been on fwy I would have not been lucky gas tank is inches below fire .
