After ap. 45 minutes of highway driving, driver's seat warmer (previously off) turned on and went to high. The only way to stop it was to turn car off and restart a bit later. On the way home, same thing happened to passenger seat. Car again was turned off and restarted, but then driver's seat warmed up (but not to high this time). This on an 80 degree day. Dealer does not know how to fix this.

My 2012 Camry hybird with leather seats. My problem seems to be related to the weight of the previous occupant, ie, if over 200 lbs and it will probably work correctly. But if the exited occupant was less than 200 lbs, the air bag will alarm and message for the (former occupant) passenger to use the seat belt. I'm trying to get Toyota to correct the problem but they warn me that I may have to pay to correct something that never occured before their recall.

Upon impact (car was rear ended) the passenger seat popped, broke in a reclining position. That shouldn't have happen. I think it should have stayed in an up right position.

The driver seat has a tear in it and there are only 120,000 miles on the car. It torn on a crack in the leather on the seat. Also - the dash has cracks all through it but we heard that there was a recall on it. Is that true? the dash surface is sticky and hard to clean.

Air bag light came on intermittently for weeks before coming on in February 2015. Thinking it was not urgent, I took the car into the dealership and they ran the code. They informed me that the air bag computer sensor had failed which was located in the passenger seat and had to be replaced, totally $3300 for parts. Air bags may not deploy properly or deploy unexpectedly until fixed. Expensive repair for car nearing end of its life.

Seat no longer moves forward or backward but twists like only the inside track is making contact with the gears. I can see the outer gear turning but no contact with worm gear.

Car had extremly poor quality in interior material. Rear bumper, rims and seat coming apart for a less 40k miles supension feel unsafe when un drive on highways vibration on the vehicule Toyota just said vehicule was design like that. Any professional report about that condition.
I drove this 2012 Camry on the high way to nashville TN for 8 days vocation started 28 June 2014, lot of water coming out from carpet, had to stop and clean water in every couple hours(my hand was injured when cleaning up water). After I arrived a hotel, I searched on the internet and found out that Toyota had a recall in Dec 2013 on this a/c water leak, it can cause "airbag warning light", electronic power steering light", or other problems. We are very worried about car may cause accident in the whole vocation. ------ after back to rochester NY, called Toyota and they told me go to Toyota service to repair this problem; so I went to henrietta NY Toyota service and told them a/c water leak, they said they will fix that, on the service report printed:" customer states there is a water leak", "work performed by xxxx", "cleaned a/c drain". But the manager lied to me, he said there is no recall. ------ not sure if it is totally fixed, car still very moist, smell is bad, even after open car's 4 doors, put the carpet bask in the sun for few days. ------ yesterday, I found another Toyota service report and recall letter from Toyota on 12/28/2013, and this report shows they "performed work by xxxx. " . I totally forgot this car recalled and already performed the "fix" for a/c water leak problem, obviously, Toyota service did not fix this problem and they lied to me. ------ this Camry has damage under carpet because of water leak, it may cause some electric circuits problems in the future, I don't want to be worry everyday, so I don't want this car any more (the lease term will end in one more year and a month, I paid $3000 down payment for 3 year lease, also every month payment). What is my choice? ------ thanks!.
Was involved in a traffic accident where vehicle was at a complete stop waiting to exit freeway: backup on freeway exit, was rear ended at high speed by another vehicle. Causing chain reaction crash, vehicle was sandwiched between two vehicles. Vehicle flooring became deformed which may have contributed to driver's seat collapsing and most importantly for the seat belt to fail causing me to bang my face into the steering wheel. I found the seat belt was unbuckled after the crash. Airbags did deploy.

The contact owns a 2000 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that she secured the vehicle in park and was able to remove the key from the ignition with the engine continuing to operate. The dealer was contacted and advised that either the ignition switch or the key was defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated that she opened the window while the dealer was on the phone with her, and it exhibited an abnormal squealing noise. The contact was then advised by the dealer to bring the vehicle in for inspection. Additionally, the contact stated that when sitting in the driver's seat, it would feel as though the springs were protruding into her back and causing pain. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where she was advised that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the air bag warning light sporadically illuminated over a two year span. The contact was concenred that in teh case of air bag deployment, the chemicals in the air bag would affect her asthma. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
2014 Toyota Camry. Consumer writes in regards to faulty fire retardant seats. The consumer would like to see a recall issued, for the vehicles already sold.
Driver's seat rocks back and forth and is loose on the track that secures it to the floor. After inspection by a certified Toyota dealership it was stated that this is "normal". The condition seems to be getting worst as time goes on. Concern lies in whether or not the seat is securely bolted down (they confirmed it is) but is just loose within the track and if so what would happen in the case of a collision? the seat is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed.
The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the driver's side front seat independently adjusted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the track had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.

Nhtsa recall # 14v024 indicates an open recall on this vehicle issued Jan. 29, 2014 stating this repair should have been completed while in dealer inventory prior to retail delivery. I did not take delivery until March, 2014, and this repair was not completed prior to delivery. The recall further states customer owned vehicles are not covered by this action. Since this repair should have been completed prior to my taking delivery, do I have any recourse with this dealer to have the repair completed?.
With the announcement of seat fabric not meeting flammable standards on 2014 Toyota's with heated seats and ordering their dealers to stop selling affected vehicles until they get new seat fabric, I do not feel safe using my heated seats. If Toyota can not or will not sell any more vehicles until this issue has been fixed, for the safety and peace of mind of all current owners, this issue must also be addressed, recalled and fixed immediately. I have used this feature daily during this cold winter and will no longer feel safe doing so until it has been fixed. The NHTSA must force a recall of existing vehicles before there is an injury or fire not after one occurs. The heated car seat is a seasonal use feature where the degradation of the material and possible resulting fire may not show up for several seasons. I, personally, have noticed that the heated seat at the high setting becomes very hot where I can feel that it is very uncomfortable through a heavy, winter coat. With the announcement today, I am concerned that this could be a sign of a serious problem. Please issue a recall to fix this potential, serious problem.
I bought this car from suburban Toyota. Within a month I started getting severe neck pain. I went to the dealer and complained about it. Dealer checked and suggested everything is alright with the seats. Feb 28th - I waited for another month or so and went for first service around 4,700 miles. . . Again I told the dealer that I can't drive any longer and the issue with the "head rest" need to be fixed. Dealer told me that they cannot do anything as they do not see mechanical issue with the seat. Feb 28th - as my grievances were not addressed, I called Toyota customer support (800) 331-4331 and discussed the issue. The customer support representative registered a complaint but told me that they have not heard any issues related to seat or head rest for Camry 2014 model cars. My neck pain is increasing as I drive this car. I suspect that there must be design flaw with this model year Camry. I sincerely request you to look into this issue as it would lead to physical disability over a period.
Noticed that the air bag light is on constantly, the seat belt light keeps flashing and the passenger air bag light is always off even if a heavy adult is sitting in it. The seat belt light keeps flashing always. Noticed this but thought as most times drive alone thought that as there is no passenger in the passenger seat most of the times and attributed the cause of the flashing seat belt light for that. But now know that this is definitely a safety issue.
Drivers seat started to go up and down when going over humps in road and body weight was transferred up. You could feel the threads from a bolt were rubbing on a metal part. Within a week the travel had more than doubled and was happening while getting in and out. Brought into dealer for safety concern and warranty (car only 2 1/2 yrs old) and they said they pushed and pulled and it snapped back into place. I was then advised there was a $58. 50 charge for an "adjustment". The dealer would not release the car without payment so I signed off and paid to get the keys. I called Toyota but they stated the dealer was independent and they could not make them reimburse me. Toyota offered me a jacket or a duffel bag, which I refused.

Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the driver seat and the front passenger seats on the vehicle are uncomfortable to sit on. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer took the sat out and added springs, but that did not solve the problem. The contact stated there is a bar under the seat with about 4 inches of foam around the bar. The contact stated that the bar comes straight across the seat and it caused discomfort. The manufacturer was saying there was nothing that could be done to change the seats. The failure was 15 and the current mileage was 1,710. Rl.
I have noticed that when driving and stopping my driver seat shifts and move. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. I am having the issue with the sticky dashboard and read that it is from the melting of the dashboard, yet the year of my car is not on the recall list to get if corrected. I just noticed that when I start my car you have a noise coming from under the hood. Again not sure if anyone else is having this issue or not. My ac button will show that it is on but it actually is on. It is like the sensor is going out on it.

The dealer denied any further assistance with the driver seat failure. There were no further repairs. The failure and current mileage was 113,000.

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that smoke emitted from the rear of the front passenger seat. The contact discovered a silver dollar sized burn in the seat vinyl. She was unable to determine the cause of the failure. There were no signs of a fire but appeared that the seat had somehow overheated and melted. The dealer was unable to diagnose or provide a cause for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 36,122. Updated 11/16/10.
The driver's seat is reclined and will not adjust due to a mechanical defect. The car was purchased in July 2008 and it has 47,000. I took it to Toyota dealership and they said they charged would be $2,000 to fix the seat. After further investigation through the internet, I found out the seats frame is hard to purchase used because of the amount of problems with the driver's seat frame.
2000 Camry front passenger seat back bolt fell out causing seat back (not entire seat) to lean strongly while car is cornering. Seat is manual, not power. Seat base is not loose on the rails, only the back of the bucket seat leans.

Driver seat stops functioning up and down. Took it to roseville Toyota and they didn't repair and told us it is functioning now. Called several times and no one cares. Now the Camry has 46,000 miles they just told me it is out of warranty. Also Toyota customer service refused it and told me it is out of warranty. Manager dominic campanelli and jessica romero were very aggressive when I called and didn't provide customer service.
When my wife would get in the passenger seat of our Camry and get belted in for a minute or so before I got in and started the car, the seat belt off light would illuminate. This has happened several times and does not seem to happen if I start the car before she belts in. This was reported to eddy's Toyota and they recalibrated the seat sensors but the problem did not go away.
Driver's seat slides when I accelerate or stop. It occurs every time I drive the vehicle and I have taken it in to checkered flag Toyota in virginia beach, va to have the problem fixed. It is obvious there is a problem with the track the seat sits on. The service technician asked the service adviser how heavy I was (I weigh 135lbs) and told her the problem could not be fixed, the entire seat would have to be replaced. Checkered flag will not respond to my service requests.
The operation of the side seat airbags on the Toyota Camry are compromised due to the fact that the integrity of the seat cushion has a design flaw that causes the cushion to collapses around the airbag. Which would change the angle of the airbag and cause it not to deploy properly.
