Pre-collision system malfunction, secondary collision system malfunction along with check engine. It appears to be a trend with 2018 Toyota Camry xse and higher model. I found that many people that own this model vehicle is experiencing the same issue even after going to a Toyota dealer and the issue still persist.

The front bumper on my 2025 Toyota Camry continues to shift and separate after driving, despite being repaired twice following a low-impact collision in which another vehicle backed into me. This issue has persisted even after two separate body shops (including a state farm in-network provider) performed repairs. A third attempt is underway, but the problem remains unresolved. Additionally, my parking collision warning system does not give any audible alerts when reversing or approaching objects, even though this feature is standard on my vehicle. I believe the malfunction may be tied to the bumper’s instability or misalignment, potentially affecting sensor function. The issue has not triggered any warning lights or error messages. However, I’ve now discovered multiple reports from other 2025 Camry owners experiencing the same bumper separation without being in accidents, suggesting a potential design flaw. My car has been inspected by body shops and appraisers, but not by Toyota directly. This ongoing issue presents a potential safety concern due to impaired sensor function and the risk of the bumper detaching at higher speeds. I keep getting error code p0304 which says its cylinder 4 misfire the engine starts shaking a bit and most of the warning lights in my dashboard turn on and it disables the parking brake , I took it to a shop and they took out the fuel injectors to visualy inspect them and moved injector 4 to a different cylinder but the same error keeps coming back cylinder 4 misfire , I keep having to spend money and still have the same issue. It only does it on a cold start .

My wife was pulling into a parking space, feathering the brake. About a foot from parking, the car suddenly lurched forward, with her foot still on the brake, and smashed into a 2' high decorative wall. The car is no longer drivable.

There is a current recall on my 2020 Camry. I was notified by email in December 2023. It is for the passenger side air bag. I do not feel safe driving the car since being made aware of the recall. The Toyota dealership I go to has said there is nothing they can do as there is no remedy for this recall. I also have had multiple issues over the years with the sensors and battery. I bought the car brand new, with 2 miles I rolled off the lot. A few days after purchasing it my battery died. My battery died multiple times within the first few months, sensors did not work, screen display was off, Toyota said they had to reset the computer software. There was an issue draining the battery. Fast forward to November 2023, I had to buy a new battery. Even though I have had issues with the battery since purchasing the brand new car, I had to pay for the battery out of pocket. Toyota said I just barely missed the warranty. Now once again I have issues with the parking sensors not working and the rear camera display not showing. I get the notification rcd unavailable. Even though my camera is clean and was checked at the dealership. I feel as if I have bought a bad car from the start. And now I do not feel safe driving it as well as being completely frustrated with it. What can I do?.

Vehicle stalls at higher speeds on the freeway this problem happened 1 time on 7/22/23, 1 time on 7/23/23, and 5 times between 7/29/23 and 7/31/23 when traveling between las vegas and los angeles. Symptoms (this repeats every time) 1. High speed (freeway speeds) car stalls, loses power and begins slowing. This is very dangerous in heavy traffic and could have very easily caused an accident! 2. Pumping the gas pedal brings the engine power back within 3-10 seconds and the car picks up speed again. 3. The mil check engine comes on and the instrument panel rotates through malfunction alerts from ics, lda, parking brake, secondary collision brake system, etc. And continues cycling through the alerts until the engine is turned off. 4. When restarting right away, the malfunction alerts and mil remain. 5. After the car has been off for at least 30 minutes, sometimes the warnings and mil reset. The dealer gave an appointment to have the car checked 3 days in the future. This Camry was not on the recall lists for failing fuel pump even though it matches for manufacturing date.

The a25a-fks engine fails to idle properly and will stall at times due to a cylinder imbalance. Ics malfunction light comes on as well. This puts other people at risk because a vehicle stalling or malfunction of the Toyota safety sense system can lead to car accident. Vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics and couldn’t find the root of the problem. Was told to go to a Toyota dealership. A Toyota dealership inspected the vehicle, done several tests, swapped computer modules and couldn’t find the cause. The dealership replaced fuel injectors, fuel pump and had done a cleaning on the intake and the vehicle still had the trouble code. 4k worth of work and the vehicle still persisted with the issue. What I first noticed from the car was an odd knocking noise when starting the car, followed by excessive white smoke at idle, parking sensors not working, the car improperly starting for the first time followed by a ics malfunction, blinking parking sensor icon and check engine light. Code: p219c. The dealership wants to charge me 10k to take the engine apart to either replace a faulty part (within the engine) or putting in a new engine all together. Several recalls for Toyota Camrys from 2018 and 2020 have sighted defects with the engine blocks causing white smoke and stalling. These recalls should be extended to more manufacturing months as this is a noticeable flaw.

All of the warning notifications keep going off. I have been to the dealership 3 times paid for a battery replacement and battery terminal replacement. I was quoted a ridiculous rate for a engine wiring harness replacement, I had to get that replaced by a certified technician but the car is still doing the same thing. I am starting to feel like I was sold a lemon.
