Car makes a heavy humming noise when driving 30mph or more very loud dealer couldn’t fix this issue please help I don’t feel safe when driving on higher speeds.
Clicking/ticking noise coming from the top of the b-pillar (driver’s side). Consistent ticking or clicking sound that sounds like it’s coming from behind the trim near the seatbelt anchor or roofline area. It’s not just a little vibration — it’s a loud tick or click; not a vibration sound. It seems like it might be inside the b-pillar or at the headliner edge where it meets the pillar.
The headsup display (hud) presents a doubled image on the vehicle's windshield. The adjustments allow for vertical positioning and clockwise/counterclockwise rotation adjustments. However, despite this, the image projects is blurry and/or doubled and causes fatigue while driving and poses a safety risk if the driver cannot focus properly.
The rear glass of the sunroof exploded while driving at highway speeds. The safety risk involved is that is sounded like a gunshot went off and the entire car got extremely loud, taking my attention off of the road, thank goodness the sunshade was closed and didn't shower me with glass. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by multiple other owners online, and Toyota denies taking responsibility for its manufacturing defect putting all drivers at risk. It is being evaluated at by insurance. No warning lamps messages or any warning sign whatsoever before the rear section of the sunroof exploded.
The vehicle is producing an extremely loud squealing/whining noise while driving and turning. The sound occurs at both low and high speeds. It is not subtle — it is loud enough to be heard across a large parking lot. For example, if the vehicle is at the back of a parking lot, someone standing at the front can clearly hear it. It can also be heard as I enter my neighborhood, before I am even close to my home, and my neighbors have noticed it as well. The sound resembles something rubbing or grinding against something else. It does not sound normal or consistent with typical hybrid system operation. The dealership has stated that this is simply the hybrid system; however, I also own a 2025 Camry Hybrid, and it does not make this noise. Additionally, the loaner camry I was provided does not produce this sound either. This strongly suggests that the noise is not a normal characteristic of the vehicle. I am very concerned that there may be a mechanical issue that has not been properly diagnosed. At this point, I have been unable to receive meaningful assistance or resolution from the dealership. I am requesting a thorough inspection and clear explanation of the cause of this noise, as well as appropriate corrective action. Please advise on the next steps to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention to this issue. The system will not allow me to add a file attachment. Please reach out for copies and I will be happy to provide them.
Fuel / propulsion system. . Hybrid inverter assembly defective component: hybrid inverter assembly cause: improperly torqued bolt inside the inverter result: open circuit possible loss of motive power while driving possible short circuit and fire risk component is available for inspection and is currently at the Toyota dealer. From Toyota’s own recall filing: loss of motive power while driving at higher speeds increased risk of a crash risk of thermal damage and fire if short circuit occurs. Toyota documented: dealer inspections field reports warranty claims Toyota confirmed bolts were found loose inside inverter assemblies this directly triggered the recallinspected by authorized Toyota dealers investigated by Toyota and the inverter supplier (denso) vehicle is currently held for recall-related service. Improperly torqued inverter bolt may activate a warning lamp; however, no warning lamps or messages were displayed prior to the defect occurring on my vehicle.
The remedy to fix the current recall is taking absurdly long. I have driven a car previously in which there was a sudden loss of power and the risk to myself and other drivers is very dangerous. I just purchased this car in Nov. And the recall was soon after. I am very disappointed in this lack of urgency in finding a remedy. I purchased this car for my teen daughter to drive - what a mark on the safety of Toyotas name. There should be an investigation as to why the remedy is not being rushed as, again a lack of power and/or risk of fire on a busy California freeway, is putting so many at risk.
There is a recall for this vehicle for a loose inverter bolt. Nhtsa recall no. 25v-869. The inverter bolt can become loose leading to a loss of drive power or fire while vehicle is on which can cause an accident, injury, or loss of life/property if the above mentioned occur while operating the vehicle. Information given by Toyota brand engagement center has stated the remedy was supposed to have been available in February 2026. When follow up calls were made after February passed with no recall update, Toyota stated that the remedy should be available by the end of the 1st quarter. When the first quarter passed with still no update regarding the recall, another follow up call was made to Toyota with no updates available and no idea when an update could occur or when a remedy could possibly become available. They have failed to provide an update to the recall and when its potential remedy will be available in a timely manner allowing the continued use of these vehicles, knowing the potential for sudden loss of drive power could lead to accidents with the potential for catastrophic outcomes such as loss of life. This delay in remedy seems unacceptable and reckless at minimum.
1. Component or system: the vehicle is subject to an active manufacturer safety recall affecting a critical system. It has been out of service since December 22 and is available for inspection at an authorized Toyota dealership. 2. Safety risk: Toyota determined the vehicle was unsafe to operate due to the recall, posing a potential risk to occupants and others, and instructed that it not be driven until repaired. 3. Confirmation: the issue was confirmed by an authorized Toyota dealer as a recall condition. No repair has been completed due to lack of an available remedy. 4. Inspection: the vehicle has been inspected and documented by an authorized Toyota dealership on behalf of the manufacturer. 5. Warnings or symptoms: the vehicle was removed from service due to a manufacturer-issued safety recall, not a sudden failure. It has been inoperable since December 22.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? -the fcta (front cross traffic alert) is a system that is overly sensitive and gives constant distracting false alerts while driving. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This has been an ongoing issue that I have not been able to resolve since buying the vehicle new from the dealership. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -the fcta system is highly distracting visual and audio alert to driving due to constant false alerts when turning onto traffic right after a car passes in front of the vehicle. The fcta system can only temporarily be disabled as every time the car is turned on this system is re-enables thus not respecting driver decision to turn of the fcta system. Even at the lowest sensitivity setting of (later) the system will still give false alerts. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -I have talked with the Toyota dealership, and I have been informed there is no way to permanently turn off the fcta system has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? -no, this vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -no, there are no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

My dashboard is melting, since it is melting it is causing the dashboard to be really shiney, which is causing a huge reflection on my windshield, which is making it hard to see out. The dashboard is also really sticky from melting, and im also concerned about the airbags because of this.

The dashboard pad has deteriorated within the last two years. It is gooey. When I have brought the vehicle in for service at the local dealership and mentioned it, it was not addressed. I called Toyota headquarters twice and they said that there was a notification but it has expired. So, they will not honor a request to replace the pad. I never received the notifications they allege they sent. The pad is really dangerous since it reflects off the windshield and is blinding when driving on the highway or city streets. The part itself costs over $1,000; I do not know what labor and tax costs are. I am the original owner of this car and have maintained it through tofficial oyota service.

I have a 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid , I have always taken very good care of it maintenance wise etc. ,my wife & I were driving a few days ago and heard a ticking noise that sounded odd so we immediately stopped at a pep boys as it sounded oddly- I he gentlemen there checked the oil mind you we always only ever take the car to Toyota dealerships but had never heard this ticking noise and wanted to check right away. The gentleman told us that we needed oil and proceeded to add 2qts if oil , he checked again and added 2more quarts , we also have never had to add oil nor have we burned oil in his car ever in between oil changes - this was very odd as we have never enemies had a drop of oil in our driveway ever. So after the oil was added we started the car and the ticking noise had subsided, we headed towards our home and a severe loud clanking noise way worse than before started and a light came on telling us to immediately pull over and to place the car in park- we towed to Toyota immediately and were told that we needed a new engine- later I read about a defect that we were never told about, not in a recall nor otherwise, our person at Toyota dealership said nothing either about their ever being a problem with this car nor a recall if any sort and I certainly never received anything in the mail either - not only is this a safety issue but is pure fraud and negligence in Toyota's part to ignore and say nothing at all - I am not under warranty but not his defect was never brought to our attention- what can I do ? possibly due in a small claims court ? please help - I have entered my VIN# in a couple different sites and then here is no recall or anything whatsoever closely related to this under this VIN # this actually happened on 6-16-2019 but this system would not allow me to enter the correct date for some reason!.

I had taken my car to a dealership to get my brakes and rotors changed ,around September of 2018, about a week later the traction light would come on whenever I stepped on the brakes . I took the car back to the place where I had gotten the brakes done and they said there was nothing wrong. I finally took my car to another mechanic, so they could diagnose the car , when I got back my car, the vsc, traction ,and brake lights were on. They claimed it was the abs module.
Vsc system keeping appearing on the dash board.
I was driving east on marshall Ave. In longview texas, to super 1 grocery store, and turn left to park in front of the store. When I turned left the vehicle made a loud poping sound coming from sunroof area. It has been doing it every time I turn left or right as long as there is an uneven road surface that causes the front tires to be at a different elevation than rear tires. This position produces a twisting motion of the vehicle frame and that is when the roof poping is heard.

Dashboard melts in the sun creating a sticky shiny surface that reflects onto the windshield and inhibits visibility. I cannot see out of the car during the day anymore due to the reflection.
Both side windows in the front have visible dark and light spots, and patterns. Rear windows have a lot of rippling dark patterns. Patterns can be seen when we look through polarized sunglasses. It is also visible with bare eyes from an angle. What is the standard of the tempered glass on a vehicle ? we think this should not be happened whether or not polarized sunglasses are used when driving. We are not sure if our windows are considered as abnormal or defect at this level (see pictures), the patterns on both sides (front) windows are distracting when it turns dark under the bright sun. Windows in the middle are fine. Besides, we don't have this problem with our other 3 cars at home (2 are different brand) when we used our polarized sunglasses in the past years.

I parked my camry and let my wife out of the car. I had left the shift lever in drive and turned off the car. Although the dash warning said for me to shift into park I did not do it that instance. I took my foot off the brake and the vehicle started moving with the engine off. There was no incline or hill. I tried this several times, and even with the vehicle in reverse, engine off, foot off the brake, the vehcile started moving in reverse, even starting to gain speed. My wife has my old 2015 Camry Hybrid and tried this experiment. That Toyota did not do what the 2018 did.
At least two weeks ago, Toyota updated its entune navigation software with a flawed system update that eliminated the voice command system for phones, navigation, etc. Toyota has failed to provide public notification of the problem and has to-date failed to come up with a solution to correcting the problem. This results in a safety problem, as Toyota customers can no longer place or make calls or seek directions verbally. All commands must be physically entered on the system or a smartphone resulting in a clear driver distraction and safety hazard.

The vehicle was parked in the driveway when the horn sounded, and we noticed flames shooting out of the driver's door panel. When the fire was put out, it was clear it had originated from the driver's door controls, and was localized to that area. The malfunction was related to the visibility: power window devices and controls. This incident is related to a recall. The recall NHTSA campaign id is 12v491000. (10/12).
The check vsc system was displayed in my totoya camry 2009 hybrid, this morning. The warning, abs, brakes, parking brake and skid control lights have turned on. From test driving the vehicle, it appears that the brakes seem less responsive.
Dashboard shiny and sticky causing reflection from sun to impair vision. Toyota says recall issued prior to experiencing problem "expired" January 2018 and is no longer applicable for previous recall we received when issued. Toyota wants $2700 for the dashboard not including labor.
Takata my 2007 Toyota hybrid has been behaving badly, with just 190k miles. My traction battery monitor would show 7 bars falling to 1 bar instantly. Instantly, as I would be looking at it and it just dropped that fast. It would get parked with a full charge indicated and then the next morning one bar. Sometimes it goes into e mode and shuts off while driving on highway ive been close to crash with other vehicles. The ecm throws a warning, "check hybrid system". I borrowed an actron scanner that had the capability of basic hybrid codes and one code was present "p0a80". Also, check vsc would show all the times. Somewhere I read this is normal with p0a80 as the ecm shuts down the vsc to conserve power. .
Abs and warning signs were on dash. 1st time ever happened. On a busy intersection car was barely stopping. Once realized car was not stopping got off busy intersection and got to safe area. Brakes did not work at all.
Sticky dashboard.
Driver side sun visor will not stay in up position. It flops down, blocking vision. Toyota says they may or may not cover it. Seems like a hazzard that they are responsible for.
Sticky and shiny dashboard. The reflection of the shining dashboard is causing a lot of trouble while driving. Cannot get a clear view of the road in the front when the dashboard is reflected on the windshield.
The sunroof glass spontaneously exploded without being hit by any object.
As I cruise on highway at 70 miles per hour, the hybrid traction battery starts to make Mini rapid progressively loud explosions like the back of my rear seat is about to explode. To alleviate this I have to slow down to about 65 miles per hour. I have contacted Toyota and the dealerships but are unwilling to investigate the cause. This car is still under warranty.

Check vsc system error, traction control light, abs light and emergency "!" light illuminated when car was idle. Brakes became "soft". Next day, light was off until after driving a few miles, again same lights came on and brakes became soft again at a stop light.
