Engine cuts out under acceleration. On hotter that 80 degree days it will not run up over 3000 rpms. Cuts out and will not accelerate to speed unless very slowly accelerating. Have had to dealer and they tell me it's the ecm, but years ago that was replaced under a recall for the same reason. �supposedly�. I'm thinking either the work was not performed or the replacement units are faulty as well.
The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated when initially starting the vehicle in temperatures less than 70 degrees, the vehicle would stall. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic however he was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The current and failure mileage was approximately 43,000.
