Oil sludge build up which caused 1st cylinder piston to break causing total engine failure and engine needing to be replaced. Car was being driven on highway had 68,000 miles. Saw a white plume of smoke and engine died. Car required towing to auto mechanic who diagnosed problem.
The engine light has been going on and off for no apparent reason. Mechanics say there is no reason why engine light should be on. Concerned about possible engine failure.
