The rear seat was always tough to get it to stay locked in place after folding the seat down. At 70,000 miles, one half of the 60/40 seat would not stay locked in position, after being folded down. According to the dealer, the whole seat locking mechanism needs to be replaced at a cost of $300. Furthermore, the part is on a 'national backorder', and I have no idea when this part will be available for installation. I feel that this is a part that should last well beyond the useful life of the vehicle, and is a very odd part to fail. This part has been trouble for some time, and failed when the vehicle was stationary, but means I can't have anyone in the affected part of the rear of the vehicle, until this part is replaced.

The back seats do are not able to be opened from inside the car. The trunk also malfunctioned and will not open up. If there was a child or someone in the trunk, they would not be able to get out without pulling apart the whole trunk itself. I find this very dangerous and makes me grateful one of my children weren't trapped inside when it decided to stop working properly. I would like to find a resolution to this matter so the safety of others is not compromised!.

I bought a Toyota Corolla 2004 sedan from gordie boucher Nissan, 10606 w. Arthur avenue, west allis, wisconsin, phone no. 414-543-1234 on sept. 27th. The car was in very good condition, and both my husband, joy joseph and I didn't notice that the head rests for the back seats were missing. When we found that we broght this to the dealer's attention. They are not willing to get us two head rests for the back. My husband went to the Toyota dealer as we still have the full warranty from Toyota, and they are also not willing to provide us with the head rests. I know that in a collission it will be dangerous to have passengers in the back seat where they will have severe neck injuries. Before something severe happens, I would like to have the head rests in place. Please help me in getting this resolved.

2005 Toyota Corolla passenger sensor is overly sensitive. When seat is touched ringers go off. When any object is placed in the seat the ringer sounds. Whenever a back seat passenger touched the passenger seat the ringer would sound. The ringer also sounded occasionally for no reason at all. The consumer spoke to the service manager at the dealer who stated that the sensor was working to the specifications of the vehicle.
When snapping the driver side back to normal, upright position, the consumer noticed that the latch was not centered in the back of the seat. Also, the seat can be pulled on the side without the latch and the seat easily moves out.
