3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

We were exiting 66 at exit 55 (fairfax CO. Parkway) northern va. We were going 3 mph, a heavy delivery truck hit us going 40 mph pushing us with considerable force into the van in front of us. Our air bags did not deploy, none of them deployed. My husband sustained head injuries from hitting the steering wheel and I was bounced back and forth a few times injuring my head, neck and back. My doctors think my injuries were made worse by the fact that the airbags did not prevent me from being thrown so far forward. We called Toyota and they did not want to investigate the issue.

5 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 09/10/2012

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that the driver fell asleep while driving and crashed into a road barrier. The air bags failed to deploy. The driver sustained head injuries and the vehicle was destroyed. The police were contacted and a report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local repair shop. 6 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2011

Driver side airbag did not deploy with head on impact with concrete median. Prius was traveling at 70 mph and was hit from behind at high rate of speed, sending it into three, 360 degree spins ending with head first impact into median. No airbags deployed. Airbags checked by insurnance company inspector. Inspector said the airbag sensors were impacted and should have deployed the airbags if they were working properly.

7 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2010

Driving in good weather on a local road and car skid light went on and wheels locked to the right. Steering was not responsive. The lack of steering caused the accident. However, the airbags did not deploy.

8 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2010

The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Prius. While driving approximately 35 mph a deer crossed in front of the vehicle. The contact was able to avoid hitting the deer but crashed into a tree. The air bags did not deploy. The contact suffered a mild concussion, bruised ribs, and a bloody nose. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the insurance company declared it destroyed. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that they wanted photographs of the damage. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

9 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2008

Driver of a 2001 Cadillac seville failed to yield the right-of-way turned left in front of the above listed 2006 Toyota Prius resulting in a front-end collision in-between the two vehicles, and the air bags did not deploy. Contacted vehicle oem (Toyota); who refused to support or investigate the accident and provide any air bag deployment assessment (via edr download). Damage to the vehicle was limited to the front-end, and passenger side of the vehicle.
