My car got stall on the road, it had a problem related with the hybred system. I took it to the Toyota dealer and they said it was in a recall list. So they fixed but they damaged the suspension of my car and now they don't want to fix it. My car is making a noise when I move the steering wheel and also when I brake. My car wasn't making such noise before the stall on the road. I am frustrated with all this problems in my car.

At approximately 120,000 miles we started receiving messages from our dealership that the car was starting to use oil even though we have performed all required maintenance and on time. Then between 130,000 and 140,000 we starting getting an oil light that would come on during cornering. We were told to keep a gallon of oil with us and fill it between changes and we did. It would use about 1 to 2 quarts between changes. Then at 150,000 the engine blew up. It was within the time limits of the warranty but not the mileage so Toyota would not help us out on a new motor. After that I researched on line and others are having similar problems. Most if not all our miles were highway cruising miles so easy miles. We drove this thing like a baby. We have owned many other vehicles to well over 250,000 so this is not a case of we don't take care of our vehicles. The motor right before it blew was making a loud screeching noise but no lights on on the dash to indicate that anything was wrong.

My 2012 Prius v has several unresolved problems. On those occasions when the gas engine cranks the car, there is a loud engine rattler. The engine sounds as if there isn't any oil. Turning off the engine and re-crank does not always fix the problem. The front passenger seat sometimes rattle. Two different Toyota service departments are unable to determine and fix the problem. One of the shops replaced one of fifty button like leather seat fasteners. This seemed to resolve the problem. Two weeks later the problem started again. Now, I suspect the front passenger door speaker is the problem. Occasionally, the rear driver window squeaks. These problems have been reported to service shops but they want to keep the car over night. I did not buy a new car for over night sleepovers at the dealer. Finally, two weeks ago a rock hit my windshield. Five days later the windshield crack grew from a tiny ding to 15 inches. I have owned thirteen new cars in this life time. I have suffered windshield cracks but none of them suggested that the glass was too thin. This is my first Toyota.

I experienced a scary situation with my 2007 Prius today. While I was driving all of a sudden the abs brake light and dsc light and (!) light and brake light came on and stayed on. The car also made a loud buzzing noise in the cabin. I pumped the brakes and it was not very responsive. Luckily nobody was around because I felt had I needed to stop on a dime, I probably wouldn't be able to. I looked around online to find if others have had this problem and it appears there are plenty of cases where this type of sudden failure has occurred under 2007 abs Toyota Prius brake module complaints. I believe that there is a recall for this issue from the manufacturer. Please contact me - I need help!.

I have a Toyota Prius (hybrid). A little cat got underneath my car without me noticing it and since this type of car does not turn the engine when you turn the car on, it does not make any noise (when you turn the car on it runs from the battery at the beginning. . . Eventually the engine kicks in) since the car made no noise the little cat did not notice that the car had been turned on and the little cat did not move away from the car. The little cat died within seconds and I had to watch him die, I had to watch him take his last breath, I hat to watch him suffer trying to get up I had to watch him wag his tail for the last time without me being able to do anything about it. This car is far too quite and dangerous for people and animals, neither one of them hear the car when you drive up right behind them and very often I have to watch out for people in parking lots because they never hear the car coming. The death of this little cat was devastating to me, I cried for an entire week and I do not wish that experience to anyone. I want to report this issue to avoid any other deaths of innocent animals and people.

The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Prius. The engine in the vehicle made a noise while driving various speeds. The dealer has diagnosed the failure on two occasions and stated that the coil packs needed to be replaced. Two months after the coil packs were replaced the failure recurred. A representative from the corporate office inspected the vehicle and were unable to diagnose the failure; however, they removed and dismantled the engine and found water in the engine. The mechanics stated that the engine needed to be replaced at the contacts expense. The contact has requested that the engine be replaced at no cost by the manufacturer since it was a new vehicle. The failure mileage was 12,201 and the current mileage was 14,000.
