The contact owns a 2016 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated while opening the rear door on the key fob, the door did not rise open, but it unlocked the rear door. The contact was able to open the rear door manually. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer stated that the back door upper stay/back/power unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 109,000.
