1 Headlights problem of the 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 06/01/2008

I began to notice over a year ago that the headlight high-beam indicator was working intermittently. After a few months of intermittent operation it ceased illuminating altogether. My local mechanic informed me that Toyota had told him that the entire combination meter would need to be replaced to repair it (this was not entirely accurate). I recently found online that a number of owners reported that their high beam indicators were not working, and that a Toyota service bulletin had been published to repair it. When I pulled up the service bulletin I noted that it required a wiring change in addition to replacement of a very expensive ecu. It is my contention that Toyota should be financially responsible for repair of this expensive modification since the vehicle was wired improperly to begin with and since there are substantial safety implications for vehicles driving with headlights on bright when the driver is not aware of it.

2 Headlights problem of the 2002 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 08/22/2007

Headlight relay goes out causing headlights to shutoff while driving. For the 2nd time in a year. Part was replaced with a new part. Rear door will not latch and rattles. Rear latch assembly was replaced. It does not shut or seal so carbon monoxide enters the cabin. This has happened 3 times. Brake calipers seize up front driver and passenger side, rear driver side.

3 Headlights problem of the 2003 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 12/22/2003

I just bought a 2003 Toyota Sequoia and noticed low oil pressure readings, I took it to the dealer and thank god they were aware of this problem do to a faulty oil switch replaced it no questioned asked, I also want to complain about the headlights, I left them on a couple of times and noticed there was no warning bell do they have them to install? I would hate to get stranded due to this problem.
