1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 03/21/2018

Dashboard was replaced in a recall and after the service was performed the airbag inflated light remained on. The dealer said that it was something to do with a sensor and was not related to the work they had performed, yet said it needed to have a diagnostic performed and they wanted to charge for that and for any other work done as a result of it. How could they possibly know it's unrelated to the work they performed if they had not done the diagnostic and it had never had this problem before they worked on it?. I feel strongly that they are just trying to avoid having to do any extra work it's not covered by warranty or paid for. As a result this is creating a highly unsafe situation with a false reading and not knowing if the airbags will accidentally deploy or if they will function properly in an accident. This is putting my family and I at risk.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2010

2005 Toyota Sienna van has had recurring airbag sensor blinking issue on the right front passenger seat,Toyota wants $1000 to fix after initially advising it was a $5,000 repair. Right seat is hardly used and failure isn't a user issue in my opinion. No accident involved. . . . . . .

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 09/07/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Sienna. The contact was unable to provide an approximate speed at the time of the incident, but he noticed that the air bag light intermittently illuminated on the instrument panel for an extended period of time before turning off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the sensors within the seats were defective. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were approximately 126,000.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 01/29/2005

Vehicle was going at approximately 45 mph and inadvertently the air bags deployed. Owner contacted the manufacturer, and was told to take it to the nearest Toyota dealership. However, the owner had not taken the vehicle to dealer for inspection. Owner is still waiting for a return phone call from the dealership.
