The dealer stated that they had a process to spray the headlight covers and make them ultraviolet, but there was no explanation as to what caused the issue. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that it was normal wear and tear. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.

2010 Toyota Sienna. Consumer states severe corrosion of a spare tire cable the consumer stated he received a recall notice in the mail regarding severe corrosion of the spare tire cable. An inspection of the spare tire cable revealed corrosion. The consumer stated to suggest storing a spare tire contaminated with road dirt, salt and other possible contaminants inside the vehicle is unprofessional and dangerous. The consumer is requesting a new spare tire cable as soon as possible.
