The contact stated that the release button on the crotch restraint buckle, where the the two arm and chest belts buckle, had cracked into two pieces rendering the car seat unusable. The failure occurred inside of the vehicle. The child was not in the car seat at the time of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
