Toyota T100 owners have reported 19 problems related to clutch pedal/linkage (under the power train category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle would not start. Shift lever in first gear, clutch pedal fully depressed and clutch bypass switch engaged. Vehicle lurched forward approximately one foot while turning key nearly ramming into the side of another vehicle parked directly in front of disabled vehicle. Visual inspection of clutch pedal support assembly, Toyota p/n 107-34010, revealed two metal fatigue cracks in the support, one approximately one and one half inches long and the other approximately one half an inch long in the heat zone of one spot welded area. The larger of these two cracks allows the firewall portion of the bracket to move in (flex) towards the firewall when the clutch pedal is fully depressed preventing the clutch master cylinder push rod from fully disengaging the clutch. The clutch master cylinder push rod has been adjusted (lenghteded) as much as possible and additional adjustment will not fix the problem. A photograph of the cracked bracket is available, if desired. Thank you!.

First the clutch pedal bracket bolt fell out whle stopping at an intersection. After pushing the vehicle across three lanes of traffic I put the bolt back in and proceeded to my destination. The clutch did not seem to work correctly thereafter. I took it to an independent Toyota maintenance shop and had they adjusted the clutch pedal. Things appeared to work ok after that for about a month. Then the bolt started backing out again, so I observed the lock washer was no longer functioning as designed and replaced the lock washer. Things seemed ok for about another month, and then I heard popping and squeaking when I depressed the clutch pedal. On further inspection, I found the clutch pedal bracket to be cracked at the firewall. Toyota customer service refuses to admit they have a safety design problem and have no service bulletins on the issue.
