At 1,200 miles I am noticing a howling noise in the interior (although sounds like transmission) as transmission changes gears at highway speeds of 55-65 mph.
Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Toyota Tacoma . The contact stated that while driving approximately 30-40 mph the transmission would malfunction causing the gears to fluctuate between 3 to 4 gear. The failure was also present when assending up a hill, the transmission would fail to switch to the proper gear causing the rpms to increase and the engine to continuously rev. Also while in 1st and 2nd gear a loud chatter noise was present coming from the transmission. The vehicle was taken to the dealer jones junction Toyota located at 1504 bel air rd. , bel air, MD who re-flashed the ecu but the failure continued to occur. The contact was informed the manufacturer was aware of the failure but no remedy was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 5,000.
