Transmission does not engage (slips) in first gear from a cold start up. I am concerned this defect may cause an unsafe situation in the future.
The transmission does not engage on take off initially, it also jumps as you are slowing down ,coming to a stop at a stoplight. It has been in 4 times for this same issue. Toyota knows there is a problem, and they acknowledge it, but does not have a fix for it. What happens when my warranty is expired. It is definitely getting worse. Ed craig.
