The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while the vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, the mechanic informed him that the subframe was rusted. The dealer and another dealer, peppers Toyota (2400 e wood st, paris, TN 38242) were made aware of the failure, but both dealers informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by email. However, the contact had not heard back from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that a black sealant would be sprayed on the subframe to prevent corrosion. Over time, the sealant began to peel, and corrosion started to form on the subframe. The contact called the manufacturer and dealer about the failure but was offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
