The dealer and another dealer, peppers Toyota (2400 e wood st, paris, TN 38242) were made aware of the failure, but both dealers informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by email. However, the contact had not heard back from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
