The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the radio is inoperative. Also after removing the cd disk from the cd player, the cd disk is melted. She has taken the vehicle to the dealer multiple times and has had the radio: tape deck replaced. None of the repairs have remedied the failure. She contacted the manufacturer, but was not provided with any assistance. The failure mileage was 1000. The current mileage was 9,000. Updated 10/21/09 updated 10/20/09.
Radio goes off or on by itself and sometimes the lights will go off when selecting a station but the radio still works. Have been unable to turn radio on at times and the next time it will go off when selecting a station. This also happens with the cd player. Radio was changed once within the first year, worked fine for awhile and has started again.
The radio inconsistently turns off or on by itself. My concern is that there is a short which could lead to a fire.
2007 Toyota Tundra. Toyota safety feature malfunction the consumer stated the brakes failed, the radio was replaced twice, the tire monitoring system was inoperative, and the abs actuator malfunctioned. When the consumer went to have the oil changed, he informed the dealer the vsc light was on.
