Standard wheels trap and retain water. This causes seals on tire pressure monitor valve stems to be submerged in trapped water (or ice in cold weather) causing premature deterioration of valve stem seals. This has caused failure of seals on 2 separate wheels on 2 separate occasions. Vehicle is less than 5 years old with less than 35k miles. Vehicle has not been in any accidents due to this problem. 1st event was 03/16/2019, 2nd event was 11/06/2019.
