My 2002 Toyota Tundra has vibration in the brake system. Toyota tried to say it was normal wear after 50k miles to have warped rotors. Never happen on any other vehicle I had. I spent $400 on there 60k mile inspection (when truck had only 52k miles and they checked brakes ok. Then I drove off and boom vibration in front brakes. Now they claim it is the rotors and.

My 2000 Toyota Tundra started vibrating severally at around 15000 miles. Toyota fixed the problem, and at 31000 miles the problem came back. Unfortunately I was not able to contact Toyota for repair until two days prior to three year anniversary of purchase, half hour before closing at a weekend. 2000 Tundra was purchased at 47,000 miles. Within 1000 miles, a severe vibration developed whenever the brakes were applied at speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour. As the vibration increased, I noticed a fairly severe increase in braking distance as well. After a near collision, I took the vehicle in for service. The dealer alerted me that there was a problem with brakes on the Tundra, however they simply resurfaced the rotors and informed me that the pads were at 75%. Within 1000 miles, I again developed the same problem. I took the vehicle in again and again the dealer acknowledged the problem, but simply resurfaced the rotors and installed new pads at my expense. The service manager attempted to have Toyota pay to perform the work which was listed in service bulletins # br00302, br00402, however, Toyota refused citing that my truck had in excess of 36,000 miles. The bill for this work was quoted as $1700. It is now 1000 miles since my most recent service, and again the violent shaking and increased stopping distance has returned.

Rotors, drums, pads and shoes replaced at 12,000 miles and 34000 miles after developing severe vibration. These were replaced under warranty. At 40,000 miles severe vibration developed in rear end. At 54,000 miles severe vibration developed in front end. Found out that rotors are warped. Mr.

Because of this problem I have been in an accident. Thank god I wasn't injured. I have heard and read about other Tundra owners having the same problem. When will they make Toyota recall the Tundra's because of the bad braking system on them? when several people loss their lives. I just it will be the Ford incident all over again.
