I own a 2009 Toyota Venza v6 fwd that has an engine knock everyday when it is first started. The service department at capitol Toyota explained the noise was normal. I find it hard to believe Toyota would make an engine that sounds like a diesel before it warms up. I contacted Toyota who backed up the dealers claim which I again find unacceptable. There is a service bulletin to fix the issue but both the dealership and Toyota corporate state the noise has to be excessive enough and that all v6 Toyota engines do so. $34,000 for a car that sounds like a tractor. I'm seeking legal advice.
