I have come across multiple post online of other people who had their axle beam failed. - rear axle beam broken. - once the axle beam is broken while driving it can lose control and cause a major accident. - problem has been confirmed by local service center. - not sure. - no lights on dash.

The rear axle has failed due to corrosion. Loss of right rear wheel assembly was narrowly avoided. Noticed the wheel was squatting oddly and upon inspection the wheel assembly was nearly removed by hand.
The contact owns a 2077 Toyota Yaris. The contact stated while the vehicle was getting inspected the inspector noticed the real axel had rushed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or a mechanic. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 180,000.
I bought a 2007 Toyota Yaris brand new. It's a one owner car with 216000 miles. 5 years ago, I noticed that the side skirt was rusty near the back wheel. Over time, they rusted out. One month ago, while pulling in at the gas station, I heard a crunch. I felt the drivers side of my car go down as well. Got out and drivers rear wheel was tilted in at the top. The passenger rear wheel was also leaning in at the top. The rear axle was rusted out on the welds. The car was about to crumple up in two. It looks to me like the car had a defect in which water somehow accumulated or ran down the back of that side skirt and rusted it, then the rear axle out. My little economical car is junked out. It may be one of the cheapest cars. . . Well I'm a poor person. I worked my butt off to pay for that and I thought because it was a Toyota that it would last. I was wrong. Thank god I only going 5mph. That could easily kill someone. Of course Toyota killed all kinds of people a couple of years after I bought that Yaris. I knew they were not to be trusted at that point. I thought I was going to keep my Yaris forever. I guess I thought wrong.
My wife was in town driving about 10 mile an hour just pulled away from stop sign, when her drivers side rear tire broke off. We loaded it on a trailer and brought it home. The axel beam had completely rusted in two now Toyota is tell me its 1600 dollar for a new one. I think since they she could have been killed her they could fix her car.
The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Yaris. The contact stated while a friend was driving approximately 30 mph, the rear axle fractured at the welds. The rear wheels went into the wheel well. There were no warning lights illuminated. There were no reported inquires. The contact stated that the rear axle was weak, had rusted, and then separated. The contact repaired the vehicle. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not covered under recall. No additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 195,487.

Rear axle beam cracked on left side at a weld, noticed vehicle not tracking properly and had checked at a shop and they found this.
The rear axle broke at the weld. Driving under normal spped and driving conditions, I noticed a strange rubbing sould coming from the rear of the vehicle after I got home I noticed the clearance on rear wheel at top was much less then other side, after taking to shop I was then informed of the cracked/broken axle. When I researched there were others who's car's had rear axle's that were breaking at the welds around the same years 2007-2009 this could be a potentially deadly.
I noticed that my car would not brake properly if I happened to be breaking over an uneven service years ago. So, I drive to avoid having to do so. But, then recently it started making a squealing noise along with breaking. It comes and goes. Then, a clunking noise started when reversing. Now, the clunking noise comes in either direction. The squealing has graduated to scratching and scraping when I accelerate or decelerate. It comes from my front, passenger side tire and when I turn my steering wheel all the way to the right, it gets very loose - whereas turning all the way to the left still feels appropriately tight. I think the looseness is connected to the front right passenger side wheel, as if a piece has broken or is loose - because it comes and goes. This all happens when I'm moving, no matter what terrain it is (highway, city street, etc. ) and whether I am turning or not.
I was in an accident going 55 mph in the process my car clipped a curb and it snapped my axel causing the car to go head on into an object across the road my car also flipped none of the airbags deployed.
Strange sound comming from rear area. Looked and rear passanger side tire leanning inward toward car. Took to repair shop. The rear axle beam was rusted enough that the tire was getting ready to come off. The repair shop had never seen anything like this. I am the only owner of this vehicle. Had about 214,000 miles when this occured. No, longer own car.
I took my car in to the Toyota dealership in longview washington and pretty much they were supposed to replace both airbags and they only replace one and then said that OH we don't know why the airbag lights not going off when I do believe that the passenger side needs to be replaced to also I was told by the Toyota dealership in bremerton that if my friend and started clicking to take it in and there was a recall for that too so and it starts leaking after I had it in there so I think I need to check it out and they're not doing it please contact me at the fishingmccloud@gmail. Com mccloud mccloud my phone number is 360-831-4188 thank you.
Driving down road and axle beam broke at seam. Drivers side. Was going straight at the time. Heard noise. Top of tire was leaning inward towards car.
With only 500 miles on it I had alignment issue with this brand new car Toyota Yaris 2019 which was purchased on Apr 2019. After I took my car to tustin Toyota dealership, they fixed the alignment for the first time I had the same issue I took my car there for the second time they said nothing wrong with it while I had document of alignment failed which im attaching it. I still have safety problem that is either related to steering, tier, suspension, beam torsion or anything else that cause my car feeling like drifting or sliding to right or left while driving around 60mph or above. Feels like driving on slippery snowy road. I cant have my car controlled even though by holding the steering very tight and its a huge road with so many trucks which can be so dangerous. I have passed 2 serious accident already and have a feeling this car with 185 inch tier is only designed for city or for speed below 60and thats how met Toyota safety and expectation as they confirming their safety and not providing any other help!!! very disappointed such a big company is re badging Mazda 2 and sell it under Toyota with safety issue. They need to get recall on these type of car if they think this car doesnt have any issue and the car is totally fine before some big lawsuit is taking place. I concern about my and other vehicle safety while driving and need to report this to take some action.

Driving on the interstate. Heard a noise that sounded like a blown tired. Pull over and looked under car. The wheel was leaning and it appeared to me a bar was broke. Towed it to garage and mechanic had never seen this axle beam broken at the seam. Pictures attached.
The car does not like the accelerate, when pushing the gas you have to put it all the way to the floor and it takes about 15 seconds to actually accelerate. At 40,000 miles the rear shocks went out, and the left rear tire wore down and is bulging.

Tl the contact owns a 2009 Toyota Yaris. The contact stated that the vehicle drifted to the left while traveling 55 mph. The contact had an alignment performed, and the rims and tires changed; however, the failure continued. The contact called byrider dartmouth (331 state rd, dartmouth, MA 02747, (508) 992-0000) and was informed that they would never sell a vehicle that was damaged. The dealer stated that they did hot have vehicles with salvage titles. The contact researched the vehicle on carfax and found that it had structural damage. The dealer refused to buyback the vehicle because it had structural damage, and accused the contact of engaging in a crash. The contact currently refused to make any more payments on the vehicle and disputed the condition of the vehicle with the dealer. The contact did not know that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 18v024000 (air bags). The vehicle was not repaired and remained parked. The failure mileage was 108,261.
Poor handling when I go over 90 km per hour.

I had accident on driver side front with other car. My front bumper, fender, hood, under hood, body frame every thing in front has been crushed. Insurance declared total my car. But no air bag did not deployed. Seatbelt also was not tight. I was injured due to heat on steering wheel and went to emergency. Still I have pain on my body. I found that Toyota recalled my car last may 2014 but they did not informed me. . . Updated 10/27/bf.
The car tilt to the right, sometimes wobbles on the road. At some curbs applies the antilock at the right no matter. This happen while in montion once it reach beyond the 20 miles. When driving in slow traffic it jumps.

Bolt head securing left front wheel suspension and frame, was apparently sheared off by pothole while driving. Loud metallic pop heard. Not sure why parts are still holding together. Will need repair ASAP.
During rolling bumper to bumper traffic, heard a loud pop from the front end. Afterwards the front end kept making a odd grind sound when I put on the brakes or went over a slight bump. Took some time to figure out that one of the bolts that holds the passenger side a-arm was gone, looks like the bolt head just sheared off so now all the weight that was carried by 3 bolts is being managed by 2. I had just got off the highway too, glad that did not pop at 65 mph.

2007 Toyota Yaris has transmission problem. The consumer stated he had to allow the vehicle to warm up, before he could change gears properly. In the winter time, it was worse. There were times when the transmission gears would not engage at all. The vehicle also pulled to the right/left while driving. The vehicle also vibrated. The dealer could not find anything wrong with the vehicle.
