36 Equipment problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 06/30/2017

Hello, I bought this car 2 months ago , mileage 89000 . Problem with a gearbox dsg, on the website I got this ; Volkswagen has announced a program to help owners of vw and Audi vehicles equipped with the company’s dual-clutch dsg transmissions. After a flurry of complaints to the NHTSA, vw will replace components inside the transmission. Issues apparently stemmed from faulty temperature sensors that would force the dsg boxes into neutral, often while owners were driving. Vw will replace the components and offer loaner cars during the repairs. Owners who have already paid out-of-pocket for the fix will be reimbursed. The company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. But when I talk to vw dealer brooklyn thay told me goodbye, you have recall from airbag. And we dont care about your dsg problem although it was said the company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. 1. Takata recall 2. Dsg transmission, delay, jerks on the rear gear. Mechatronic always overheat. When turning on the rear gear it does not turn on very large engine rmp and then quckly turns on, I find it very dangerous, because I do not know if the rear gear is turned on at all Volkswagen recently initiated a recall on 2009-10 vws and audis equipped with its high-performance direct shift gearbox (dsg) transmissions. Vw said it would repair or replace the components in the transmissions at no charge to the vehicles’ owners. And vw will reimburse customers who have already repaired the transmission on their own. But dealer vw USA sad this is not true / only some recall dsg can get free repaired.

38 Equipment problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 01/16/2017

I both my 2010 vw Cc in 2017 and a year ago and I'm heaving jerking or bucking during stop and go or a delay in power when stepping on gas pedal. It's gotten to the point that I really hate stop and go traffic; I feel like I'm driving an old car with issues at the mechanization unit or at the automatic transmission. I knew it's about an issues at the mechatronic unit valve. It bucks and shakes like it's about to stall. I'm finding myself reluctant about having passengers in the car because of sheer embarrassment. It is also very problematic for maneuvering and parking the car because it can be dangerous and even cause accidents. It happens mainly in stop and go when parking/traffic. How serious does the problem need to be fixed in order for the dealership to replace the unit as a recall? best regards.

45 Equipment problem of the 2011 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 09/13/2015

At 9:30 am on Sunday, September 13, 2015 I was traveling down the road, and the car cut off. Two (2) attempts to restart the car were unsuccessful. After an hours wait (for aaa), attempted to re-start the car and it started. No check engine light was on prior to the incident and no usual noises. The car just stopped running. This not necessarily a complaint, but a report for possible recall research purposes. Thank you.

46 Equipment problem of the 2011 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 09/01/2015

While driving my vehicle on the highway, the computer flashed a warning that there is a parking break error and the vehicle proceeded to stop. When pressing the gas pedal the car would not move. Following the repeated ( over 6 times) shutting down and restarting of the car the parking error warning and the engine light appeared and vehicle once again proceeded to stop and no forward motion took place when gas pedal was pressed. Vehicle shut down on two major highways at high traffic/ rush hour times. Following these incidents the vehicle was repaired by sunrise Volkswagen dealership. They preformed a diagnostic and replaced the fuel pump injection system. The vehicle was returned to me and a little over a month later (October 22nd) the same problem reoccurred once again shutting down multiple times on a major highway. The vehicle had to be towed back to the dealer where they are currently working on another diagnostic. It should be noted that in addition to this problem, prior malfunction has resulted in replacement of the entire engine in this vehicle. I've also experienced several coolant system issues for which I have had to return to the dealership repeatedly. I am extremely concerned regarding the safety of this vehicle due to the loss of acceleration while in motion at highway speeds. Each time I'm told the problem has been resolved, I am exposed to possible highway fatality as I resume driving. My suggestion that the vehicle be replaced was rejected and each attempt at repair has proven to be unsuccessful in resolving the problems.

47 Equipment problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 06/17/2015

Error air bag error was the error that appears on my display when I turn on car. Horn & all buttons on steering wheel stopped working. This is on the vw Cc year is 2012. I am told by service department it is due to a failure of the clockspring hence I must replace the clockspring with control unit and part only is almost 450 dollars, and labor is additional.

48 Equipment problem of the 2013 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 06/09/2015

Purchased this car new. Started experiencing shuddering and grinding sensation from the front end of car when in motion. It is especially bad at lower speeds. The dealership claims to have checked the brakes and suspension of the car and found nothing wrong. However, they found that my tires are cupping and that is causing the problem. I am fearful to drive this car at highway speeds. I believe a tire or suspension failure is imminent.

49 Equipment problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 03/19/2015

Car would not start but battery was good. Issue seems to be localized to the transmission as it eventually started after messing around with the shift lever. After starting I was unable to shift out of park and I think this is a sensor locking the shiftier.

50 Equipment problem of the 2009 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 02/23/2015

Rear main seal failure. Oil leak on hot engine.

51 Equipment problem of the 2014 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 12/11/2014

I leased a vw Cc 2014 my vehicle on Nov 20 2014. On Dec 1 2014, when I was backing up at my office location I saw a white line on the display unit. I took it to the dealer to fix it. They reviewed the issue and replaced the center display. However on 11-Dec-2014 the same issue of center line appeared on the screen. After having the car for a day, the vw told me its by design that a center shall come up when there is sun. This is safety issue and I have pictures and videos of this behavior. I hope you can help me resolve this.

53 Equipment problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 01/13/2014

54 Equipment problem of the 2013 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 10/31/2012

I have had vw Cc's since 2009 and have been trading them in for a new model each year. Upon getting a 2013 vw Cc I returned to the dealer the within 72 hours of purchasing the car as I have been having stalling issues at low speeds (especially while turning) due to the nature of the dsg transmission. I have brought my vehicle back several times in regards to the same issue. The first time, I was told that the fuel pump needed changing (at 36 miles), the second, third and fourth times I brough the car into gunther vw I was told by the head service advisor that the issues on my car were resolved and I should not have any further issues each time. Needless to say when I spoke with the mechanic directly he informed me that they were not able to detect the problem (even though I had video of the car causing the issue) and nothing was done. Not only was I lied to many times, but vw corporate was willing to swap out my car with a new one as I have been a loyal customer and they did not want to lose me. However due to the extreme negligence and lies of the head service advisor I was denied a swap as he informed corporate that there are no issues with my car. Until this day my vehicle still stalls at low speeds and is a hazard and danger to myself and the public, yet no one at vw cares enough to take responsibility and provide me with a vehicle that I feel safe transporting my family in. I dont care about my care, I will never be returning to vw even after having 3 Cc's and numerous other vehicles, but I want to make sure no one gets injured or dies due to their gross negligence.
