Takata recall it's been over a year. Today, before filing this, I called the dealer one last time to check on remedy. They said the part was in, come on down it will only take an hour. I drove the 20 miles only to be told, "sorry, there's still no remedy for your model. " I've been forced to drive a car that vw knows could explode in my face. No options were offered.

Takata recall- I have tried to contact all dealerships around my area, allen, texas and when I ask about when the airbags in my car can be replaced, all I have gotten is, we don't have them yet and we don't know when we will receive any from takata. We are at their mercy. We can't help with this.
Takata recall dealer has no replacement parts and cannot tell me when they will be available. Vw will not provide a loaner so I either do not drive or rent a car myself for who knows how long! my wife is disabled and cannot use the rear seat.

"takata recall" - I did not receive any communication from volkwagen or my car dealer, darcars Volkswagen of silver spring, MD. I only learned about this recall when I approached another dealer about using my leased Eos (returning 6 months early) for the lease of a GMC vehicle. That dealer is the one who told me about the airbags recall and told me they the value of my car, which otherwise is in excellent condition, would be negative value because the airbags had not been remedied. I had no clue there was a takata airbag recall for my car!!! doesn't vw or my vw dealer have some responsibility to notify their customers of a recall that could be a danger??!!.

Takata recall. I called my vw dealer to ask about when the recall replacement airbag would be ready. They said it wouldn't be ready for "a few months" yet. This seems like an unreasonable amount of time for a recall announced in February which could result in "serious injury or death".
Takata recall. I am concerned about injury in the event the airbag deploys and that takata has not provided a remedy to my dealer southern Volkswagen in chesapeake, virginia.
Subject: takata recall. Dear sir/madam, we own a 2014 Volkswagen Eos and received notification earlier this year about the air bags recall; however, the parts to do the repair seem to be still unavailable and our car is in the waiting list yet. As of know, unfortunately, Volkswagen has been unable to give us a date to repair our car. How is it possible that this may happen when vehicle occupants may result in serious injury or death? since the recall we have the stress of wondering if somebody is going to hit us and if the defective airbag might explode when deployed. Our car is still under warranty, as it was originally purchased in February last year (2015), we were wondering if we are entitled to a refund or some kind of compensation because we are intending to sell this car under the current recall conditions. We understand that manufacturers are required to repair, replace, or refund our car free of charge and in a reasonable amount of time, which we believe has already been exceeded. Unfortunately, the term reasonable has not been defined. How is it possible that Volkswagen (and any other manufacturer) is not obliged after a specific amount of time to refund the buyers or to provide with a substitution car until the airbags are fixed at least? I am requesting NHTSA's assistance to defend our right to a recall remedy and in general to deal with this matter as we are concerned for our safety. Thank you very much in advance. Best regards.
There are no parts available to replace the airbags that have been recalled and are a threat to life if they deploy. I bought out my lease two years ago and I believe they knew of this issue but let me buy the car anyway. Also, the recall just said the airbag didn't work properly, not that shards of metal could kill me if it deployed. I only learned this Saturday while at the dealer after I put over $300 fixing the start button and $700 putting on new tires. The dealer said he would buy my car for $12,000 only if I bought another vw. This car is a threat to my life and I don't want to drive it. Please take action so we are not forced to gamble with our lives while driving a vehicle we bought and maintained in good faith!.
My car is part of takata airbag recall. Dealer wil not repair or provide loaner vehicle. My safety and my family's safety is at serious risk. That is unacceptable. I tried selling the car but was offered ridiculously low value due to recall. So they won't fix it and further will penalize me financially when trying to trade it. I want my car fixed now or a loaner vehicle provided.

Takata recall, I cannot trade in my car until the recall is taken care of!!!.
Takata recall. I cannot believe that I have received notification that I have a part in my airbag that has the potential to kill me, but that vw has absolutely no idea when they will be able to replace it for me. If this is the case then I should be provided with a car that does not have this problem. How can I be expected to drive a car that I have been told has this potentially life threatening component. Its utterly shameful.
