Brake Abs Warning Light Problems of Volkswagen EOS

Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Eos. The contact stated that her abs warning light had illuminated while driving at an unknown speed. The contact took her vehicle to hiley Volkswagen of arlington 1461 e interstate 20, arlington, TX 76018 (817) 575-6000 for a NHTSA recall repair number: 16v913000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control). They performed a diagnostic where they informed her that there was not a recall on the vehicle. The contact stated that she was then given an estimate of $2,700. 00 for an unspecified pump. The contact then took the vehicle to autobahn Volkswagen fort worth 2810 white settlement rd, fort worth, TX 76107 where she was informed again that there were no recalls on the vehicle and gave her the same estimate as the other dealer. The manufacturer had been notified andset up both appointments for her vehicle to be serviced. They offered her no further assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. Dealer performed a free abs software & module update recall service but didn't do a good job because the abs warning light went on after I got the car back. Turns out they only updated the software and didn't replace the module so the abs brakes don't work since the module can't support the new software. Dealer is now trying to charge me $2,000 to replace the module because the vw recall warranty only covers the bill if they were all done on the same day. I still don't have a working car back because of it. They keep referring me to an extended warranty that I don't qualify for instead of the problem at hand which is that they offered me a free recalls service and never got it done right. Please help me resolve this issue so I can get my working car back. They said they can't even undo the software update that caused this issue.

Abs indicator light; mechanics unable to find problem in brakes or abs system; codes provided unclear and provided no guidance to mechanics. System lit complete dashboard, speedometer started going from 35 to 0 while driving approx 35 mph beeping and flashing with rpm indicator also oscillating between 0 and higher. At no time did the brakes discontinue to function - dashboard was distracting and alarming while driving. Told needed new abs computer at a minimum. Have quick time movie of the event.

Abs warning light came on. The abs unit was found to have failed and required replacement.
