Unable to drive vehicle abs system failure - no braking is possible. Abs warning light and loss of braking control while attempting to drive. The module part recall 45f2 does not apply to my year 2011 vehicle. Though the previous year there is a recall for the part by vw. Vw representatives will not offer recall or payment for part replacement saying recall does not apply to 2011. Vehicle is at risk. Vw will not assume responsibility for faulty part. The vehicle is too dangerous to drive. Consumers should be informed.

My abs/ esc light was on and the brake light was flashing randomly. After diagnostics it appears the abs module is intermittently not receiving power. Because of this the abs/esc system randomly does not work as it should. This seems to be the same issue as the 16v-913 safety recall, but my car was manufactured on July 14, 2010 which was 33 days after the June 11, 2010 cut off date.
All of my lights on the right side of my dashboard is on. . The traction light, brake light, steering wheel light and the speedometer is acting iradical. . I put new speed sensors on it and it still haven't fixed the problem. . Alot of mechanics say it's and electrical problem. . I bought the car from flow Mazda dealership a couple years ago it's been sitting since then.

The vehicle has exhibited intermittent abs, esc, and brake light. Code check revealed intermittent communication errors with various parts of the abs system including the control module. Diagnostics varied, undiagnosable due to intermittent activity and varying codes. April 2021, abs, esc, brake light, codes indicate communication error with the abs control module. Codes and light reset after being cleared, the vehicle was operational and drives with no detectable issues other than lights/ and possible non-operational abs. 06/29/2021, 10 minutes into drive vehicle speedometer begins to dance from zero to operating speed, to total fault intermittently in interstate traffic on I-10 west into houston at channel view, braking begins to engage automatically/intermittently, loss of engine power, check engine/flashing brake light , vehicle narrowly avoids collision. Vehicle parked and restarted, driven back home with check engine and flashing brake light and intermittent speedometer, no drivability issues. 6/30/21 internet search for similar issues reveals an abundance of similar issues without drivability problems and 2017 recall# part 473 safety recall report 16v-913. I would call attention to pages 3 and page 4 of this recall 1. ) considering the events of 6/28 and page 3 of the recall under chronology, Volkswagen appears to admit the problem, and with a thorough understanding of its own systems should openly acknowledge the ability of this system to cause dangerous drivability conditions. 2. ) page 4, recall schedule, description of recall, indicates that vw has still to provide dealers and owners with notification of this issue. As an owner and knowledgeable professional in automotive service I can assure you as of 7/1/2021, nearly five years after vw acknowledged the issue in Dec. 2016 to the NHTSA, and 11 years after addressing the concern in production with the 2010 models, we have not been notified.
Abs control module is displaying fault code 01130; this is a recall on certain vw and Audi's manufactured in 2009 thru 2014. Car is skidding on wet road as this affects traction control, too. Has vw considered a broader recall of the abs module.

When the abs, brake and other lights came on, the car was in motion. It was after applying the brakes where I skid and the lights came on. I live in an area with snow and my abs has not worked since the light came on, making driving very unsafe. I'm aware previous models of my car have had issues with defective or failed abs systems/anti-skid/braking systems which raises concern for my model year.
The abs brake indicator light is on and when I took it to a certified euro car mechanic he said that 8 codes showed up for this. He also said that there was a safety recall 45f2 on this. When I took my vehicle to the vw dealership in panama city, FL. They were extremely rude and said there was no recall for this vehicle. They would not tell me if or when the recall was complete, and if it was completed and the same thing is happening, then there is still a problem with the initial recall that was not fixed.

First thing to go on this car was the clutch pack could hear clanking noise when I was slowing down. . . Had to replace. . Next came the failed injector. . I was driving the car smoke started coming out of the engine and the exchushed pipe car almost caught on fire fuel had leaded all over my engine . . Now the abs unit needs to be repaired they want $2,600. 00. . . . My car has 34,000. 00 miles on it. . . The inside of my doors are peeling. . . They want another $1,000. 00 for that ! . . &the roof gets stuck half way when its really hot!.
Abs, engine fault, and a whole cluster of lights came on suddenly when the brake was applied at a normal rate of speed (~40mph), with the wheels almost locking up (until brake was released). This caused a potentially extremely dangerous situation, and could have been much worse if there were cars in the next lane, which I had to quickly switch into, to avoid an abrupt braking by the car in front of me. This appears to be a common problem in these 2009 vw models, and we feel should be investigated further.
Intermittent brake, abs and traction control lights come on while driving.
I have had a 2008 Eos for less than 3 years. I started having problems with the car after 4 months, it has had several repairs including electrical seat not working properly, leaks in window, cheap materials falling off needing replacement, brakes needing sooner than most cars (brakes are very long, takes forever to come to stop). At about 1yr I started having major problems with how it drove. It has been in and out of the shop, one time it was in for one month! it has had problems with lurching, surging, jerking and lack of power when accelerating or putting into sport mode, there have been numerous electrical problems and leaking from windows as well. They replaced one part (that was officially recalled) and the car drove worse. They finally replaced the transmission and now have a new rattling problem that seems to come from the engine, along with window button on driver side sticking. There is still times when I accelerate and there no increased power or I put it into sport and there is no increase in speed or rpm's. I have taken it in again and they have told me that it is no longer under warranty and I will have to cover costs that are not under powertrain warranty. With as much problems as I have had with this car, everything should be covered. I am afraid to drive this car and try to stay local and do not drive much if I don't have to. After reading other peoples problems I can see that this is a problem with this particular vehicle and there needs to be an investigation. I believe it is a dangerous car.
