1 Other Fuel System Fuel Injection System problem of the 2013 Volkswagen Golf

Failure Date: 05/21/2018

The problem started about three months ago when my car had 50k mi. Right after it had been serviced by the dealer. Initially, the yellow engine light would come on occasionally (e. G. On in the morning and then off in the afternoon). Now the yellow engine light is steady on and the engine makes some weird noise when starting. The fault code p2015 (from obd-ii diagnostic set) indicates that there is an intake manifold failure. The intake manifold is making an unusual rattling noise when the engine is running idle and fuel performance has been affected. The car used to run 27. 5 mpg and now it is running about 24 mpg on average. Some of the forums and internet sites that I visited said that this problem occurs so frequently on the 2. 0t tsi engine used on vw gti and Audi a3 between 2009 and 2015 that vw extended the warranty for this part to 120k mi. Or 5 yrs. (whichever comes first). However, when I took my car to the local dealer the mechanic said that, after checking the VIN, this recall/warranty does not apply to my car. People on the internet says otherwise and told me to try another dealer. Unfortunately, there is no other dealer nearby. The local dealer wants $ 1,400. 00 to replace the manifold and clean the injection valve. My car has been serviced only by this dealer. I have the service records of all scheduled maintenance.

2 Other Fuel System Fuel Injection System problem of the 2012 Volkswagen Golf

Failure Date: 05/31/2015

I was driving on I-55 at approx. 60mph and the glow plug indicator light began flashing and the vehicle went into limp mode. Pulled off at the next exit and shut the vehicle down, and waited a few minutes. After turning the vehicle back on, the 'check engine' light was illuminated, however I was able to drive home (aprox. 3 miles). Had vehicle towed to dealership the following morning, where the dealer indicated the high pressure fuel pump for the direct-rail fuel injection system had failed and contaminated the entire fuel system. This will require a replacement of the high pressure fuel pump, and the entire fuel system, which is being covered by the manufacturer under the drivetrain warranty.

4 Other Fuel System Fuel Injection System problem of the 2003 Volkswagen Golf

Failure Date: 12/21/2007

My 2003 Volkswagen Golf tdi was taken to aplleway Volkswagen in spokane, washington for a 40k service and a check for loss of power. The loss of power was traced to a plugged intake system, caused by the egr valve sending exhaust back though the intake. The car's warranty was still valid and the dealership refused to honor the warranty.

While driving on and passing a big truck which was merging into consumer's vehicle lane she tried to accelerate but vehicle lost power and fell back.
