2006 vw Jetta with dsg transmission. Vehicle lurched and lost power as if gas had been switched off or transmission was unexpectedly disengaged from engine. Vehicle transmission will either not engage reverse gear at all, or without any warning will abruptly engage and catapult vehicle in reverse 4 to 5 feet even when gradually increasing engine revs. This is dangerous safety issue when backing out into parking lot lanes with oncoming traffic.
