Repeated failures and incidents within last 50 miles since Volvo attempted 1st repair. (3) read ecm codes 9150 9160 904c 904d 903f - previous codes read as p121 and p1608. Cleaned pcv breather fitting, checked battery voltage, installed upgraded etm switch pn 30677023.

The consumer states that routine maintenance and servicing are the owners responsibility, and that it is not unusual for the throttle plate on the vehicle to require cleaning, and/or adjustment overtime. The manufacturer confirmed that sticking is a potential problem and that this attributed residue from the gasoline building up in the vehicle, and seems that the sticking throttle poses a substantial risk to vehicle occupants and others on the highway. The accelerator would become difficult or impossible to push down or/become stuck in the depressed position. The consumer did not see an instruction in the owner's manual that the throttle body requires routine maintenance. Possible related defect, due to necessity of cleaning the throttle body.
