Three problems related to tire have been reported for the 1999 Volvo V70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I noticed a vibration between 25-40 mph. Dealer found belt separation and cracking. There are 5 or 6 other incidents of this on 1998 and 1999 Volvo cars at this dealership. This is a factory defect and safety issue and I am unhappy that continental made me pay a pro-rata amount of $25 for each tire they replaced. (dot number: lmpdaxub tiresize: 205/65/15).
Under normal braking conditions pedal intermittently feels bouncy and vibrates. Sometimes there is also a bumping noise. This happens only when coming to a stop, never under emergency braking. Braking distance is normal. Vehicle taken to dealer 5 times, replaced hydrolic unit/control module/front brake pads, and all tires. Did not remedy problem. Dealer stated it was normal for this vehicle to react that way during braking.
Tires are eliptical, belts may be separating( dot number: lmpd axbu tire size: 205-65-15 ).
