Two problems related to tire sidewall have been reported for the 1999 Volvo V70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tire failure. Bf goodrich traction t/a 195-60/15. 35000 miles wear. Mounted on right rear of 99 Volvo V70 wagon. Sudden blowout while driving about 45 mph. Tire pressure was about 34 psi and had always been religiously maintained. Weather: dry, 55 f. No puncture or road hazard involved.
Failure of tire sidewall - blowout at 50 mph - loss of vehicle control! (tiresize: 195/60/r15).
