2 Interior Rearview Mirror problem of the 2010 Volvo XC60

Failure Date: 09/27/2009

1. Can barely see out of inside rearview mirror in the daytime. Particularly hazardous if cars following do not have their headlights on. Volvo says they cannot lighten/correct the auto dimming mirror. 2. Blis system is not reliable for cars in blind spot and should be ignored. However, it cannot be turned off. Response from Volvo: hi , thank you for contacting Volvo cars of north America. The auto-dim rearview mirror is unable to be lightened for daytime use. There is no permanent shut-off for the blis function in your vehicle. Of course, it can be shut off during use, but must be done manually each time the vehicle is started. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond. Drive safely, Volvo cars of north America.
