Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of Volvo XC90

Owned this new 2016 xc 90 t8 for about 30 days. Charged car overnight as usual. Drove it about 3 miles the next morning and suddenly car speed slowed dramatically to about 10 mph and a "car will not restart, drive to nearest dealership" unfortunately, I was not in the position to do so, so I pulled into a strip mall to safely park the car and when I turned off the car, it would not restart. Battery working fine, as radio, and lights worked , but car would not power on. Was advised by dealership, this was an issue they had just seen the week before and it was a "software issue". Car towed to dealership and I am waiting to hear. It appears this is not an uncommon issue after consulting several Volvo online forums. With no drive power, this car is not able to shift into neutral for the tow truck either. Very very unsafe and it is a brand new car.

2004 Volvo Xc90 2. 5t . . . Driving at about 65 mph with no warning aloud thump noise, windshield wiper comes on radio goes off dash lights go off, last for a sec. Then resumes to normal . This has happened several times now, while I have only owned this vehicle for a month. Today it happens again only worse . . After the initial thump and jerk it happens three more within 5 miles the last time I was going about 35 mph, big thump and jerk, wipers comes on , radio goes off , all dash lights off . . No hazards available and I get several warnings on dash brake failure , srs failure and anti skid failure. . I turn car off then back on and continue home. . . It happens again 5 minutes later at 15 mph. . . . I am reading many, many complaints like mine. This issue needs to be addressed ASAP. . I almost was rear ended twice. Volvo needs to take responsibility.

On 10/21/2008 I was driving my 2004 Volvo Xc90 on the highway rt. 93. It was raining and the interior of the car was foggy. I could not see outside so I turned on the a/c but it was not functioning. Also, the cd player was not worked. I bought my car new in 2004 with has only 32,014 miles on the car now. The boston Volvo village dealer inspected the car and said the blower motor, resistor and the cd player need to be replaced. The cost of parts and labor of the blower and resistor was $1,650 and the cd $700. I contacted the Volvo head office and they were willing to provide the parts free but the labor cost on me. I have no choice to do it right away because I have two children. I need the car to carry them to school everyday. It is a safety issue if the ventilation and heat is not working. I cannot drive the car if there is no ventilation and the car is foggy during rainy or snowy days. If I was in the highway, I have to park on the side for the poor visibility. It would put me and my family in a dangerous situation. I paid $1,058 for the labor and $57. 50 for the inspection cost. If the Volvo admitted the parts has problem and willing to replace them free, they should not charge me labor cost.

Multiple failures; door lock,tires were worn to the cord. * bf the lug nuts were replaced because they were rusted when the vehicle was delivered, the doors did not fit properly, the radio failed, the key would not turn in the ignition, the left rear door could not be opened due to the problem with the seat molding and the tire displayed unusual wear and were worn smooth to the cord. The consumer purchased new tires because of extreme wear at low mileage. The 2003 Volvo Xc90 had numerous problems that had to be corrected on a regular basis. The lug nuts were replaced twice due to rust when the vehicle was delivered, unable to turn the ignition, radio was inoperative and the left door could not be opened due to the problem with the seat molding. After 15k plus miles, the tires had worn smooth to the cord. (tire-perrilli scorpion).
