Driving at highway speed 60mph right side curtain airbag,right front seat airbag and right side front seat belt pre tensioner deployed. When the air bag deployed a piece of the right side grab bar hit the driver in the face. The front passenger had abrasion on her face from the airbag hitting her. On star called right away and we gave them info and after they were sure we were ok hung up. We took the vehicle to smithtown Acura scanned for codes and found code f4-11. Acura informed me that a rep from Acura would inspect the vehicle. After the rep inspected the vehicle they said that they found no manufacturer defects but they could not say why the airbag deployed. After a few weeks going back and forth with client realions for Acura they said there legal team said they find no manufacturer defects and to call my insurance company. An airbag system warning message appeared out of nowhere when I turned my parked 2008 Acura Mdx on in my driveway. My car had/has not been in an accident or hit. It seems like it should be policy for an Acura dealer to diagnose the problem for free but I've been told I'll be charged for a diagnosis. Please advise.

On 3/18/2019 I got in my car and the airbag like is on staating there is a problem. I call my extened warrenty and they said this is not covered. That sucks becuse what are you paying for.

On 3/9, I was parking my 2006 Mdx in an indoor parking garage. About 15 feet from a wall, it took off real fast. I pressed harder on the brakes, but it slammed into the wall so hard. The air bag deployed, smoke came out & the alarm went off until a passerby disconnected the battery. I couldn't stand up for a few minutes. My insurance CO. Decided it was totalled & had it towed to our house instead of a body shop, then only gave me its book value. I still have many bruises all over my body and my nose bled for a while and was swollen for a week. The seat belt cut into my neck and its impact left severe bruises on my chest. The impact made both my replaced knees bruise and hurt. I had lower back for many days. Pohanka Acura dealership told me this is an Acura company issue. Google didn't show any recalls on Acura Mdx accelerators. But, many people have had the same problem I had with their Mdx. While braking, the car goes faster instead. On 3/11, and after many left messages to Acura, Acura finally called. I requested that someone will check the accelerator, b4 it was towed away. He said I needed to fix the car and bring it back to its original new state. After that, Acura will then look at it and determine if the accelerator had issues. I'm very relieved I didn't die. I'm still not sure if I might develop any permanent physical problems from this accident. The shock, trauma and injuries were unnecessary. I'm also very glad I didn't kill anyone. I would never have been able to live with myself. I wasn't prepared to buy another car now. I was planning on keeping it for at least 2 more years. Besides losing my car, I was exposed to extreme danger, stress, fear and physical harm, because of the the negligence on Acura's part. I hope this matter will be taken seriously and Acura will stand behind its reputable name and fix the problem.

Passenger airbag keeps coming on and off with temputure flucuatins.

The srs light turns on and doesn't go out after startup of the vehicle. There is a recall of the srs unit malfunction for the 2003 year model. Secondly, my vehicle is more than fifteen years old. Is there a takata air bag recall involving my 2002 Acura Mdx? I have taken ownership very recent.

I have Acura Mdx 2005 model the vsa lights and airbagslights keep coming up intermittently and there is a transmission slips too. I wondered why it was not recalled when others were recalled . The vehicle still moves but noticing a slip in the transmission power.

My husband called Acura of orange park on Dec. 1st to setup an appointment to get the recall handled. He spoke to the service manager who told my husband our vehicle wasn't on the recall list.

Takata recall: I recently purchased my vehicle from a used car dealership. Shortly afterwards, I was mailed a hard copy of an airbag settlement class action lawsuit involving Honda motors and takata. I have the notice in my possession, citing my vehicle as one of the declared recipients within the settled class action lawsuit. I am simply conducting my due diligence in reporting my vehicle as it has become my property and hence, my new problem.

Takata recall. Have been trying to make appointment to fix problem for over a month. Nearest Acura dealer is 68 miles away. Called 1-888-234-2138 (Honda intl. ) thy said to make appointment with nearest Honda dealer, east coast Honda in myrtle beach, s. C. Intnl. Honda case number 06380917. These people keep referring me to the other. East coast Honda said they'll call me with appointment as soon as they receive the part, (new airbag). Have not heard from anyone. Can you help? not sure of date I first called. Pretty sure it was in September.

Interior left & right airbags inflated while parked in my driveway at night, keys removed, security system engauged between afternoon of 12/31/2016 and morning 1/1/2017.

I was traveling on a city street when another driver traveling full speed failed to yield as he was entering the city street at a high speed and harshly impacted my car in the front driver's side and then a second impact to my rear driver side. My seatbelt failed to restrain me to the seat and as a result I was brutally banged around the interior of my vehicle. Even though the physical damage to my car didn't look to be too bad, I sustained 7 herniated / bulging disc in my back and neck in which many are pressing my spine. None of my airbags deployed as well. Not even the side curtain airbag on the impacted driver's side. Had the airbags deployed and my seatbelt restrained me properly, I would not have sustained the serious injuries I did.

Takata recall there are four recalls on my car and the nearest Acura dealership is 200 miles away. There is a local Honda dealership that could do the airbag recall, but Acura claims that since there are several recalls that it needs to be done at the Acura dealership. I don't have the time to take an entire day to get this fixed. Acura keeps referring me back to the dealership and the dealership keeps referring me back to Acura.
