Accelerator Pedal Problems of Audi A4

The contact owns a 2003 Audi A4. While driving at 40 mph, the accelerator pedal became stuck to the floorboard of the vehicle. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal had to be lifted with her foot for it to go back to normal position. The failure recurred on three occasions. While at a complete stop and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle would jerk. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.

I accelerated on the highway to pass a vehicle and to take the upcoming highway exit. The accelerator appeared to be depressed to the floor and was stuck for a period of time. The vehicle was out of control, and I pumped the brakes several times to finally slow down the vehicle.

Audi 2. 0t 2007 (2 mos old)- after accelerating to merge onto the interstate, my car continued to accelerate after release of the gas pedal and the rpms continued to increase. When attempting to brake, the car jerked back and forth and required forceful breaking to decrease the speed. I was able to put on my hazard lights and pull off the interstate. I was able to break suddenly, with continued jerking, put the car in park and turned off the ignition. With the car in park, I turned on the ignition, and once again the rpms continued to increase. The car was turned off and I examined the pedals to see if the mat was pushing on the accelerator, which it did not appear to be. While the car was turned off, I pumped the accelerator multiple times, assuming the pedal was stuck and then was able to turn on the ignition without the rpms increasing. No one was injured, but this was a very scary situation because I felt I had little control over the car.

2004 Audi A4 accelerated full throttle with pedal stuck to floor on 5/20/05. Car would not decelerate and braking helped avert accident. Vehicle was towed to dealer and testing found nothing.

While driving on the highway at 50 mph, the vehicle proceed to lauch forward at a high rate of speed, the rpm's were in the red, vehichle had to be put in neutral and engine turned off immediately to avoid damage. Vehicle was restarted, when we hit third gear, vehicle again lauched forward, pedal was practicaly glued to the floor, trying to pry pedal up with foot was no use, again put in neutral and pulled over car and turned off engine. When we started the car for the third time, we sat with it in neutral and engine began to raise. Car was being towed to dealer. We have not heard any outcome, but we are very scared to ever drive the vehicle again.

I was pulling into a convenience store parking lot. As I pulled into the space in front of the store and stepped on the brake, rather than slowing down the car picked up speed. No matter how hard I pressed on the brake the car did not stop. It suddenly shot forward. The car hit a brick wall of the covenience store ,- cracking the bricks and damaging the front of my car. I was in the car with my two daughers. The car shor forward so quickly, my daughter thought we were hit from behind.

Gas pedal lowered and stuck to the floor causing the vehicle to accelaerate even though brakes were applied. Yh.
