1 Wiring problem of the 2010 Audi A4

Failure Date: 12/01/2018

Passenger headlight stays on for 30 seconds while driving. I turn the knob off then back on. It stays on for 30 seconds again and goes back out. I just had the headlights replaced because I thought they were going bad. I passed another car with the same passenger headlight out then I noticed the light is not blown its an internal problem. Ive checked the wiring connector to headlight and its fine. I did more research online and found out alot of people experiencing the same issue. Please look into this issue. I work at night and I need my headlight. It does the same while parked.

2 Wiring problem of the 2015 Audi A4

Failure Date: 04/28/2017

The contact owns a 2015 Audi A4. Approximately one week after the vehicle had been serviced for NHTSA campaign number: 17v002000 (engine and engine cooling), a failure occurred. While the contact was parking the vehicle at 1 mph, the backup sensor failed and the backup warning system failed to alert the contact of any objects behind the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to Audi of huntington (363 e jericho turnpike, huntington station, NY 11746) where it was diagnosed that the sensor wire had been cut. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the two wires were not connected and that the wires seemed "fragile". The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they believed the dealer's statement about the wire being cut. The approximate failure mileage was 24,000.

3 Wiring problem of the 2005 Audi A4

Failure Date: 10/22/2012

Problem of "dipped" headlight on my 2005. 5 A4 b7. Purchased the car used in 2009 and have had this issue since purchase. Asked mechanics to investigate but had found nothing wrong. Usually it was just one side, either left or right (both have occurred multiple times). The other day was the third or fourth instance where both sides threw the "dipped" error, leaving me barreling down the highway at 75mph with no lights. While power cycling them usually brings them back, this is completely dangerous and unacceptable behavior for a vehicle that is allegedly working properly. It is clear to me, as an engineer myself, that this is a gross short-coming in design of the electrical system used to drive the lights. Either the wiring, or ballasts are malfunctioning. Audi has done nothing to ameliorate or warn me of this issue.

8 Wiring problem of the 2002 Audi A4

Failure Date: 10/02/2004

Drivers door speakers working randomly and cutting out all together at times, sometimes with static prior to cutting out. So far the speakers have been replaced on oct 2 2004,Nov 2 2004, Nov 15, 2004,Dec 7 2004. The car still has the same issue and the dealer does not seem to be able to find or fix the problem. I have looked at it and in 2 seconds I found the issue. It is a broken wire in the door pass through. The dealer tells me it's not a broken wire because they tested all the wires and they checked out ok. If the speaker is not working or cutting out with the door open and you moved the rubber pass through, the speaker comes back on and works for a short time again. Dealer has performed the recall for this on Nov 2 2004 but there is still an issue. I stopped having them try to fix this when the factory warranty ran out because of the cost involved.

9 Wiring problem of the 2002 Audi A4

Failure Date: 05/30/2002

Homelink system stops working. Dealer reprograms the system (which I had already done 5x), and it still doesn't work. The visor with control buttons is ordered & replaced. The homelink starts working again. 7/2002--homelink starts acting up again--it is working intermittently. 8/2002--homelink transceiver is replaced and it starts working again. Later that month, it begins working intermittently again. 9/2002--dealer finally investigates further, and finds corrosion in the wiring harness/connectors. That sounds very strange to me. What was the car exposed to during production to cause that? what else is going to fail/give us problems as a result?.
