Car Stall Problems of Audi A6

At a stop light the engine will shut off completely requiring you to restart the car. This happens intermittently and happens when the auto on/off is on or off. Leads to dangerous situations when in city traffic or stopped at a red light on highway. Two trips to Audi and there are no error codes on the engine to diagnose the issue. Makes for very nervous driving when every stop light may cause your car to stall. Most recent issue the car would re-start and immediately stall, and then started shaking violently.

At slow speed and particularly when starting from stationary, such as stopped to wait to turn left, the car stalls for 2-3 seconds, suggesting that it isn't getting fuel. Once moving, the car runs fine. I have taken the car to the Audi dealer twice. The problem remains. The car only has 14,800 miles on it. It's been happening since I bought the car in March, 2020.

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Audi A6. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled on the highway and would not restart. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (Audi of huntington, 363 e jericho turnpike, huntington station, NY 11746). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 16v619000 (engine and engine cooling), but the recall was for a different model vehicle. The failure mileage was 114,000.

At times when driving the car the acceleration becomes slow and it stalls with a jerk like it's going to just stop also, when the car is put in reverse gear it will not move. I am stuck. The prnd flashing on the dashboard. I become afraid because this can cause serious accidents.

While driving vehicle stalled on numerous occasions. Driver was making a left turn at an intersection and vehicle stalled. Driver t was unable to restart vehicle. Mechanic claimed that this problem could not be determined nor duplicated. Driver informed the mechanic that this problem happened more than once and has not been solved. This is the 4th time car has been to the dealer for this problem. If problem happens again, consumer will return to the dealer.
